I was blessed to see Stevie for the 8th time on July 6th, 2005 in Minneapolis. I was very excited because this was the first time I'd get to see Stevie in my home city! I had tickets for the TISL tour in 2001, but sadly her Target Center stop that year was cancelled. This show would be the first time that I wouldn't have to travel more than a 1/2 hour to see my Queen :) I'm not going to go into as much detail as I did for my Chicago (Tweeter Center) review, but... My mom's boyfriend, Bob, was kind enough to acquire complimentary tickets for the two of us to attend the show, which was wonderful! Our tickets weren't close enough to get me to the front of the stage for Edge (they were in Sec. 112 about halfway up), but I knew that I'd figure out something! The night began with dinner and drinks at the Hard Rock Cafe, which was right across the street from the Target Center. We couldn't have picked a more perfect place, because Stevie's Live at Red Rocks DVD was playing on all of the TV screens in the place! It was like having a pre-concert, because in addition to myself, there were numerous other fans dressed up just like Stevie :) The atmosphere was so exciting!! Once we got into the Target Center and took our seats, I realized something had to be done. I wasn't close enough!! We watched Vanessa Carlton open for Stevie, and I admit, I wasn't a huge fan of hers before this show. However, Vanessa did such an amazing job that I could very possibly end up buying a record! "Ordinary Day" and "A Thousand Miles" were great to hear live, and I also really liked "White Houses" and one that she called "Put Your Hands on Me" --- she said her mother wasn't happy about that choice of song title ;) Vanessa kept her set very lighthearted, telling the audience she had eaten too much fruit before the show, and now she was burping. She also messed up on one of her songs, and let us know with a few f-bombs, but it was all so funny and cute! Before Stevie came out to begin her show, I made my way down to the main floor. A series of very fortunate events placed me in the front row, right in front of Jana and Sharon. I couldn't BELIEVE it!! Every Stevie concert has been magical for me, and this one was no exception. I felt bad leaving Bob, but he knew how important Stevie is to me, so he let me go. Stevie came onstage and looked as beautiful as ever. She's so timeless~ I wish I knew how she did it!! Her set opened with "Enchanted", which absolutely rocked, and then she effortlessly slipped into beautiful renditions of "Dreams" and "Outside the Rain". Other highlights of the show for me were "Rhiannon" (gives me chills every time I hear it live!), Bonnie Raitt's "Circle Dance", "Sorcerer", and "Stand Back", for which she wore the REAL "Stand Back" shawl (black with the gold circles). It was nice to see that piece of her wardrobe again!! I was dancing so much during the show ~ Stevie's songs would make an awesome wor When it was time for Edge, I knew exactly what to do. I hurried up to the stage and found myself in a very prime spot for hand shaking. She absolutely tore Edge apart; it was so much fun and had so much energy! At the end of the song, she started shaking hands and I realized it was only a matter of time before I got my chance. I'm a pretty short little thing, even with my Stevie boots on, but when she got in front of me, I managed to reach up just enough to reach her hand and shake it twice. She smiled down at me, and she looked like she was truly happy to be there...not the least bit tired, but full of energy! I was SO extremely happy to have been able to reach her, I couldn't stop the tears from running down my cheeks and soaking my dress ;) I watched the rest of the show from my spot at the front of the stage, and I absolutely LOVED her cover of Led Zep's "Rock & Roll"...it didn't look at all that it had "been a long time since she rock and rolled"!! She was loving it, as was the crowd. Stevie was wearing the coolest black top hat with feathers in it, and her pants with the rhinestones down the sides were to die for!! She looked so cute! Vanessa also sung back-up on this song, which was very cool. All in all, Stevie put on an AMAZING show. If you have not seen her yet this summer, I ask you... What are you waiting for??? This show was one of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen her many times. It's well worth it!! A big THANK YOU to Karen and Steve (you know why!!), and hello to David, Jenny, and Karen. Stevie fans are the best in the world!! And Stevie~ thanks for yet another magical evening!! Much love to my favorite Gypsy :) Keep on rockin'!!

I seen Stevie Nicks and Vanessa Carlton at theTarget Center on July 6th.One word to describe the show WOW!!We got to the Target Center at 7:00 and let me say that driving in downtown Minneapolis can be a royal pain! I've been a Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac fan my entire life and this was the first time I've seen Stevie solo.I've seen Fleetwood Mac three times and every time was wonderful but this concert blew me away!!Starting with Vanessa Carlton,man that girl can sing!Vanessa had the audience laughing the entire time she performed she said that Stevie's fans are great!Vanessa also said,that women like to dress like Stevie and that she has even seen some men dress like her too!!Then on one song she looked as if she was going to throw up and told the audience that she ate too much fruit and was trying not to burp!Talk about funny she also tried a new song and told us that she would probably f***it up and she did, about three verses in and said f*** I messed up! To be honest, I thought it was nice to have a performer be honest with us and show that yes, they are human too!! I was so impressed with her performance I went and bought her cd the next day.Then the intermission and Stevie took the stage!!Stevie looked amazing,but I've always thought she has,she opened with Enchanted a kick butt song!! I'm not going to go through the entire set because most of you know it already,but every song sounded amazing even for the Target Center and every costume change looked amazing!!It was nice to see Stevie in pants a nice change from always seeing her in dresses.Stevie dedicated Landslide to her one and only husband of three months Kim Anderson saying,I know your out there I love you baby!The video screen behind her for this song was a nice touch,it showed pictures of Stevie's childhood and her solo videos.Stevie cover of Rock and Roll was awesome,she came out wearing the top hat with the feathers on it!! I love that hat!She was dancing,smiling and doing kicks during this song it was nice to see her having so much fun! Vanessa also came out to do backup on this one, cool to hear her with Stevie.Beauty and the beast, their are no words to describe this song. Stevie's voice on this song is so powerful and pure you really feel what she is saying!!If anyone has a chance to see this tour Do It !!! The Band is Great,Vanessa is Wonderful and Stevie is the Whole Package a must see!!!Thank-You to the Band,Vanessa Carlton and Stevie Nicks for putting on a great show it was greatly appreciated,you took me to a place I haven't been in a while! THANK-YOU!!!

OK so first off...my name is Caiti Laszewski and I attended the July 6th show at Target Center. Most people on the site who know me (from chat) know me as Lily or goaheadlily87. Use as much of that last bit, or as little, as you want. ^_^ The review follows... This was my first ever Stevie show. I am 17 years old, and have been waiting for Stevie to come to town since I first found TimeSpace on a shelf in my basement at age 10. I'm sure you can all imagine my excitement, and I am happy to say that I was thrilled with the great performance I saw last Wednesday. I had always heard that Stevie gave an excellent live show, and it proved totally true. But let's start at the beginning. Before the show, my boyfriend and I went to the Hard Rock Cafe. Live at Red Rocks was playing on all the TVs, and we had a table for two next to the big car with a perfect view of the screens. The food was great too, but this isn't about the food now is it? I dressed up for the show (black platform boots, a flowy dress, a shawl, and a feathered top hat. We had time to kill after dinner, so we went back to the car and got the shawl and top hat. Maybe you saw us wandering around.) I got some stares for my outfit but I didn't care...I knew why I dressed up, after all. After waiting around for an hour or so (and getting to hear some rehearsal through the doors), we got to go in to the merch table. The selection was decent. There were lots of t-shirts and sweatshirts to pick from, as well as teddy bears (with black bow ties), coffee mugs, and keychains, ranging in price from $5 to $55 or so. Vanessa Carlton had some CDs for sale. I was disappointed at the lack of tourbook (i already knew there wouldn't be one of those, though, so that wasn't so bad), CDs, DVDs, and posters. I got a t-shirt and a keyring, and I was mollified. Hey, I was just grateful to get to be there, seeing Stevie in concert. That way outweighs the so-so merch table! Anyway, on to the show...let's start from the top, shall we? Vanessa Carlton Vanessa gave a nearly-perfect (one flaw, we'll get there), intimate performance. She wore a beautiful gold dress and mentioned more than once how much fun it is to dress like Stevie. She performed for just under an hour. Among her songs were 'Ordinary Day', '1000 Miles', 'White Houses', and a new song tentatively titled 'Best Behavior.' Before she started this song she warned the audience that it was new and that "The chance I'm going to mess this up is big. But I'm just going to pretend it's not." and went on. Partway through the song, she messed up a bit, said "Oh f***. I messed up. Oh well!" (this is a family site, no?) and finished the song really well. After her set finished, there was a 15-minute or so break. Then, (the moment I had been waiting for...) Stevie came onstage! Stevie Nicks OK, so I know that I'm going to ramble unless I go song-by-song. Enchanted This was...for lack of a better word...enchanting. An excellent way to start a show, Stevie brought the crowd to their feet with this one. Stop Draggin' My Heart Around Stevie duetted with Waddy Wachtel. I liked this song, and it set the energy level for the rest of the show. Outside the Rain/Dreams 'Outside the Rain' sounded great, and led directly into 'Dreams' very well. This version of 'Dreams' was similar to the version found on The Dance'- lacking in high notes. Personally, I like the Rumours version better, but still...it isn't every day that Stevie comes to Minneapolis! ((costume change and extended piano intro)) Rhiannon My favorite version of this song. This was also very similar to the version on The Dance. I love the beginning! (And he says 'Rhiannon, don't go'/And he says 'Rhiannon, stay'/And he says 'I still cry out for you/Don't leave me/Don't leave me') This was a mass sing-along, and during the beginning there were some lighters and a few cellphones (mine included) in the air. Sorcerer Ah, my favorite TISL song...even better live than on the album! The graphics (great throughout the show) really helped make the song ~ a man and woman on a star stream, in the middle of a snow dream. Just as I had pictured it...almost. :D ((costume change and long guitar intro)) Gold Dust Woman I had been waiting for this song. I've always wanted to see it done live, plus I wanted to see the shawl everyone's been talking about. I noticed that after Stevie was done with it, it stayed onstage until the end of the show... ; ) In a word, this song sounded (and looked) phenomenal. Hooray for twirling, interpretive dance, and gold sparkles! ((costume change and drum solo...Taku rocks.)) Stand Back I had the good fortune of getting to Target Center very early, and was sitting by the doors while Stevie was soundchecking/rehearsing. She was rehearsing this song a lot, and it got better every time. If there were any bugs that needed working out, they were all gone by showtime. 'Stand Back' sounded excellent! This song first got me hooked on Stevie's music ((it's on the aforemented TimeSpace CD)). Hard to believe it was only seven years ago...I feel like I've been a fan my whole life! If it counts for anything...I always wore 'spinny dresses' when I was little, so I could twirl anytime I felt like it. Heh, I'm waay off track. Anyway, it was so good I had to listen to it as soon as I got home. Landslide This song was dedicated to Kim, Stevie's "...one and only husband of three months, who is in the audience tonight." No, this is not a new thing. It was a long time ago...some people seem to be confused. Anyway, it was obvious that emotions were running high during this song. I was crying a little, and I know I wasn' t the only one. ((ONE speech. I signed the declaration, why don't you?)) Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You This is one of my all-time favorite Stevie songs. It has a special meaning for me, as I have struggled with depression my whole life. It always just makes me feel like *someone* cares when I listen to it, and I know it is partially responsible for saving my life at least once. I loved seeing it live, I think it fits the cause it was dedicated to very well, and Stevie sang flawlessly. I was crying so much by the end...this song was so well done. Circle Dance Originally this was a Bonnie Raitt song. I like her version fine, but I love Stevie's! I love the concept that life is all a circle, and I could tell that Stevie was feeling this song. Fall From Grace My second favorite TISL song. I was totally blown away, seeing it done live--if you like it on the album, you are in for a treat. The album version's awesomeness pales in comparison to seeing it live. So, so good. ((costume change and drum solo...Taku still rocks. Long, pretty guitar intro...I could listen to Waddy play for hours.)) Edge of Seventeen The costume change before this song was a little bit long (I was getting antsy to see Stevie sing this), but she has one heckuva costume to change into so it was all OK. ^_^ I was not alone in my antsyness...people sat down and were talking a little, but as soon as Stevie came onstage everyone was silent and stood back up. This song is so different live than on Bella Donna, but definitely in a good way. Unfortunately, I didn't get up to the stage to shake Stevie's hand. This time. *tear.* ((I guess that just means presale tix for me next time...)) Actually, it seemed like Stevie didn't have enough time to greet everyone she wanted to. Her roadie was moving her along kind of quickly. At any rate, 'Edge' was a great first ending to an awesome show. Hey, that means it's time for the ENCORE!!! YAY!! Rock and Roll A great Led Zeppelin song, made even better by Stevie. It was definitely a new thing for me to see her in pants, normally the flowy skirt is the status quo. Pants just don't lend themselves to twirling quite as well...but this isn't really a twirly kind of song. I LOVED the hat (loved it loved it loved it loved it loved it), and put my own feathered top hat back on for this one. And danced. Then danced some more. ((quick costume change with a band fill)) Beauty and the Beast What a great way to end the show. The old footage from the original 'Beauty and the Beast' movie playing in the background really added tot he song. Stevie's hair looked very nice up, and I loved the cute hat. The vocals were spot-on, which was impressive for the end of a decently long rock show. I only wish it had lasted longer...I guess that just means I need to go back! Advice to anyone thinking of buying tickets: GO!! Go buy them. Right now. I promise you won't be disappointed. (Why are you still reading this instead of buying your tickets??)

Where do I begin? I cant tell you how really, really good Stevies concert was Wednesday night at the Target Center! I actually got tickets in the 9th row - and man was it worth it. Her performances were flawless. Of course she looked absolutely beautiful too! I had the privilege of flying out to Vegas for the Ceasars Palace show and this was even better! She was so relaxed and had so much fun onstage. I have been going to see Stevie in concert since I was 16, back in "The Other Side Of the Mirror" days and this was the best that she has been yet! Some highlights from the show for me were "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You" - which I havent seen her do in a long time - "Gold Dust Woman" - my all time fave! - and Led Zeppelins "Rock and Roll". I didnt think it was possible, but I think she's even more cool after that! It was awesome in her leather pants - she ROCKED IT!!! Anyone who gets a chance to go to this tour, DO IT, you will not be disappointed. Stevie Nicks is the Queen of Rock n Roll...

Stevie Nicks Showed us tonight at the Target Center in Minneapolis that she only gets better with age! Of all the times I have seen Stevie over the years this was by far the best ever! Her voice was flawless! She looked beyond beautiful! The video screen behind her was a very cool addition and the band and back up singers were great! She dedicated "Landslide" to her husband of 3 months that she married many years ago and was in the audience. I just hope she will put out a DVD of this concert! Everybody, If Stevie is coming to your town and you don't have tickets Get them!! You won't be disappointed.....

I am sitting in a daze at work right now, after another spectacular Nicks performance last night! I found the Minneapolis crowd was a little 'tamer' than the East Coast concerts. But even then, Stevie had them on their feet with a rock'n' version of Gold Dust Woman, Sorcerer, and an incredible version of Beauty and the Beast. Those accompanying her on stage are all very talented musicians!

All young rock musician wannabe's both Male and Female best pay close attention to Stevie Nicks on stage. Never will you see a better pro at work. Her voice has remained strong from the 'trenches of 135 Fleetwood Mac shows' as she noted in her show. The Minneapolis Show at Target Center was incredible beginning with Vanessa Carleson. This little lady is Miss Showmanship herself, making her entire audience feel like we're in her home and communicating with her viewing audience even when she made a mistake, she joked and swore and laughed and went back to performing all in good spirit. Stevie's show started a little later than I expected but I really liked the more visual show she put on this tour. After seeing her in concert for years, it was quite exciting to get a multimedia show from a singer/songwriter who had made it clear in the past she is a singer, not an actress and has stated she prefers to present herself live instead of on film. The set list was basically the same as in other reviews, a little bit from every albume except 2, of course Street Angel, which true fans know she will never do again for personal reasons, but also nothing from TOSOTM, which is my favorite Nicks albume, so that was disappointing for me. The Target Center is not best suited to concerts so the sound was a touch too loud and a little distorted, but ultimately you didn't care. Loved the pants and hat she wore for "Rock and Roll" and she wore white again, Yeah!, for "Edge of Seventeen" and, my God, she decked out in the REAL Stand Back Cape this time. I won't say anything more as you can read about the songs and particulars from other reviewers, my advise..GO, just go to any Stevie concert you can make it to on this tour. Amazing!

WOW! I am utterly speechless after seeing Stevie last night in Minneapolis. Short description - Balls to the wall, LOUD, Rock concert! Yes, you heard me correctly - a ROCK concert. I have had the opportunity to see her in concert many times starting with the Mac's Behind the Mask tour and, well, needless to say, I have always been waiting for **that** magical show to occur. Well, my friends, last night was a throw back to performances of yesteryear that I've witnessed on DVD or have been told about. Seriously - the high energy, the spins, the dancing, the smiling, the bantering, the on pitch - PERFECT voice, etc. - Stevie Nicks effectively schooled the generation of female singers that many Gen X'ers like myself are so familiar with. Been a long time since you rock and rolled? I don't think so - I think she's just been quietly waiting for a return to basics to be appreciated again by concert goers / music buyers - and last night she made a much more effective statement with her TALENT - something that is lacking in much of the music that MTV and VH1 pipe into our homes on an hourly basis nowadays - rather than the stripper-esque shows that many female artists are so fond of giving nowadays. Seriously - this woman ROCKED last night.. I'm sure that other reviewers will give a song by song description of costume changes, performance critiques,etc. Seeing her wear pants for the first (!) time, a white dress for Edge, a whole slew of outfits I've never seen - and can I say this again? - dead on delivery of her songs by both the band and herself were a highlight. But, an extended introduction of Jana (Minneapolis is her hometown), and a dedication to Kim Anderson (his son lives in Minneapolis - not sure if he does as well now) and a brief mention of how she was married for 3 months, etc. made for quite a unique evening. To sum up the concert ... hmmmm, how can I say this without pissing off anyone? I have never been disappointed by any of her performances - either solo or with the Mac - but they had always been lackluster or paled in comparison to the "good old days". I am too young to have had the fortune to see her on any tour before the Mask shows, but, last night, Ms. Stevie Nicks blew me away. She gave one of the loudest, rocking, balls out partying shows that Minneapolis has seen yet this year. I think she's just now hitting her home run stretch - and I cannot wait for another opportunity to see a true LEGEND, a true ICON, rocking on stage! Come back soon!!

Well, It had been 16 years since Stevie played here in Minneapolis solo, and it sure was worth the wait!!!! After having seen the Milwaukee show on Monday July 4, and seeing how she totally kicked butt that night, I was very excited. Before the show I met up with about 4 people at the hard rock cafe across from the Target Center and we shared stories while the Red Rocks video played on all the screens. Very cool. SO anyway, my friend and I bought $20 tickets knowing that the attendance wasnt expected to be very good. Sure enough they closed off the upper level, and we were able to sneak down to the front row right by the side of the stage. (Not the floor) Vanessa Carlton was excellent as the opening for Stevie, a very beautiful lady that plays the piano with real emotion, which is hard to find these days. The show itself was fantastic, with special highlights being Landslide, which Stevie dedicated to Kim Anderson, to whom she was once married, and Beauty and the Beast, which was out of this world. My friend decided to try and sneak down to the floor for the "Edge rush" and he made it and got to shake Stevie's hand. I was very happy for him. I guess I figured since I've gotten to shake her hand twice at shows for Edge, I decided to just chill in my seats and let other people have a chance. Well, that's it for now, but I'm off next week for a 2 week Stevie adventure with stops in Tampa, Ft.Lauderdale, Houston, Dallas, Red Rocks, San Diego, Anaheim, and Universal City. Inclosing, it never ceases to amaze me how Stevie's music continues to touch my heart, all the way back to 1977, when I was only 6. Stevie, thank you, the world is a better place because of your music.

Just wanted to give my review of stevies performance! BReathtaking, i had never seen one of her shows before and it was amazing! thats it in a nutshell pretty much. I will see her again and again and again. The only problem with the show was the audience. I ahd never gone to a concert before where people actually sat down. C'mon your seeing a legend! Stand UP!!!!!!!!! Great show Stevie!

Just got back from Target center in Minneapolis, I was in the 7th row main floor so it was quite a nice vantage point. I was unfamiliar with the openeing act Vanessa Carlton but enjoyed the performance, the piano sounded great and she seemed to have her heart in singing.Even if I couldn't identify with the lyrics too much. Stevies show was as great as you would expect. It was certainly a mostly "Rock and Roll" show which was nice for me.The mix was like its supposed to be, a turned up rock band. Not perfect balance, but high energy level. So even on songs that most people didnt' know it still went down well. She sang well on the ballads, and dedicated "landslide" to her new husband. "Edge of Seventeen" was fun..It started out with extended rocking intro on a les paul guitar. followed by a highflying spirited vocal from Stevie' Also loved the encore with zepplin's "Rock and Roll" Fun singing "lonely, lonely lonley" with stevie The show was a bit short, being out by 11:00, but everyone had smiles on their faces, Ended up being nice for me, as First Avenue is right across the street from Target Center, and I was able to see another concert at their small "7th street entry" venue after the Stevie concert. So it was a good evening of music for me.

I was at Stevie's Minneapolis Show last night and it was a dream come true for me. Stevie has been my favorite musician since I found out who sang Edge of Seventeen when I was 13.The show was itself Enchanted. The energy in the air was perfect. I loved the giant screen Stevie had behind her, the images were perfect for each song. In addition to loving Stevies performance, her percussionist made an impression on me as well with his awesome beats. Stevie is the kind of person that you could learn a lot from, her energy seems to pour out like a light in the darkness and she reminds you how powerful music can be when you let it inside of you.. She has a lot of love inside of her and pain as well. This concert was more than I expected and I will live with the happy memories forever. Thank you Stevie and Namaste.
