Pat We went to Riverbend, as well as Post Gazette in Pittsburgh. Both were
wonderful, exciting shows! I really think Stevie sounded better than she
has in years. Of course, she looks gorgeous, as usual! Love "Rock &
Roll" and "Beauty & the Beast" is the perfect ending. Everyone, try &
get to one of these shows!
Kevin Bullock & Ed Johnson If there be one truth in this world that holds true it is that Miss. Stephanie Lynn Nicks is truly magical and continues to this day at age 57 to pour her magic out over her audience totally captivating and holding her fans in awe with us begging for more. Having been a loyal fan for now 31 years I will agree with so many others that Stevie just gets better and better, her beauty timeless and ageless, that voice, that truly unique and unmistakable voice and sound that belongs only to her, how truly fortunate we are to still have her continue doing what she does!! The day started off quite clear and sunny with a threat of scattered storms with the show to begin at 8:00 pm. Somewhere around 7' ish the rain started to come down and so many of us were thinking this could be bad for a good lawn turn out. Cincinnati held true to their loyalty to Stevie rain or not for we had a packed house lawn included !! Vanessa came on just a few minutes after eight with a limited turn out until about the middle of her set when the venue was filling up. She did about a 30-40 minute set adding in some yet to be released songs to some excellent applause, over and over she voiced her thanks for Stevie allowing her to be on this tour. A brief 10 minute break after Vanessa left the stage and over the speakers came Bootylicious and all around all you could see were people scrambling to get to their seats and everyone was on their feet with voices roaring and screaming out Stevie !!! The band starts working their way onto the stage as a Remixed version of Dreams is now being heard and once they have taken their respective positions, from out of the shadows Stevie now appears with tambourine in hand and Enchanted begins the night. From Enchanted Stevie yells out Welcome Cincinnati and Waddy takes us into Stop Dragging My Heart Around and is done as the traditional duo between the two. Then we are lead into Outside the Rain with Stevie saying " No Rain, No Rain " which the rain we were having had now stopped, then taking us into Dreams. After leaving the stage for a moment she is back with Rhiannon and reminding us all of a rendition and energy of how this was performed in the beginning. On the 3 sections of a white backdrop behind the band during the song is a beautiful painting of Rhiannon being shown. Then into Sorcerer and afterwards taking leave of the stage for a moment and coming back with a full length shaw to the sounds of Stand Back !!! From the third row I counted not 5 not 10 but 14 twirls, we were all in total pandemonium, ending with a kick that went right above her head !!!! Stevie then took about 5 minutes to explain to everybody about the campaign for " One " and how we can help do our part for aids and world poverty, Thank you Stevie !!!! She then dedicates Has Anyone Ever Written for this cause and the people afflicted. At the end of the song she shouted out to everyone " Call your president and help make this happen " !! Leaving the stage and back with some new sounds from Waddy on Gold Dust Woman and many more spins from Stevie and ending vocals of " Baby can't save me now " repeated over and over..Talk about timing, she removed her shaw and placed it on the stage for a moment then started to pick it back up as a stage hand came running by startling her as he took it away and ran off ...She then was telling us about this song that Bonnie Rait had written for her own father and how the lyrics had touched her soul and that she wanted for all of us to hear it, called Circle Dance. To date it has been a rare and selective thing for Stevie to do a song from another artist either live or as a cover on a record, and I for Damn sure have no right to recommend of such an Icon and legend to record this song herself, all I can say is you have to hear this in person. For a moment in time it was like we were all swept away to another place with total silence around, only the sounds of an angel speaking directly into our souls, and tears were freely flowing all about. I would ask that all who either read my words and or get the pleasure of hearing Stevie perform this song live to PLEASE go to the " Ask Stevie " here on the home page and request that she do a cover of this song sometime in the future. She then starts her band member introductions and you can tell how much love and respect she has for these friends and artist, saying that Sharon " Sharona " gets total credit for the stage effects, how carlos has stuck by her side through all the good and bad times, and leaving Mr. Waddy her musical director for last as she walks over and gives him a squeeze on his butt !!! Waddy kicks it up again and we are Falling from grace, and although throughout the night so far during each song Stevie over and over seemed to be having problems with her " as I like to say Pocket Radio ", she kept adjusting the volume on it and during this song another stage hand came out to replace it while she never stopped singing but she could not get it re- attached to her side and just held it in her hand until the end..She then walks over to where Karen Johnston is waiting for her and replaces it with another..She comes back to her microphone with Waddy on one side and Carlos on the other and says the next song needs no introduction and dedicates it to all of us here tonight, Landslide, while on the back drop the video to Sometimes It's A Bitch is being shown, and the crowd a good part of the time can be heard singing above her and the band !!! She takes leave of the stage and a drum duo kicked in and as many of us that could jump up to take our spot at the edge of the stage as Waddy walks out and starts the cords to Edge Of 17, and as I look around as with most of the night the crowd was all on their feet hands clapping above their heads and Stevie cuts loose..She totally roars for a good 10 seconds " and you know what part I mean " the crowd just screams louder..She walks over to a very packed front edge of the stage and graciously takes a hold of the hands of those most fortunate to have the seats they did. My former boyfriend now great friend Ed and I had been 5th row center at the begining then moving up closer row by row as the night progressed with the crowd being on their feet then working our way up to the far right of the stage during Edge of 17 hoping to be able to give Stevie flowers and a stuffed bear. We were told by security that there was a NEW rule that the venue had made " Not Stevie " against the audience presenting these items to any artist. Can i just say how much total BS this is. They see us with these items in hand as we go through 5 check points to get to our seats by the stage even before the show begins and not one security person says one single word at that time???? Anyway, once at the edge of the stage we do as we are told and place our gifts on a speaker next to us and the security guy sitting there " so we do not get kicked out " and watch as Stevie greets and hold hands with each one gathered and await our turn. Ed had really never known a lot of her solo works only a few FM songs until he met me around a year ago, and of course as a loyal fan I turn on everyone I know onto her words and music, and of course now he has been touched by the magic and is in complete awe of her..When I told him the night before just where he would be seated and that the odds were he would be able to at least shake hands with her he claimed that he would probably pass out if she came that close..Good news to report, he held up just fine, and is the envy of his coworkers who were also at the show..She made her way down to near us to where a friend of mine Barbara McGuire was standing and had what looked to be a home made doll to present to Stevie. I was looking into Stevie's eyes and I would swear I saw tears roll down her face as she looked at Barbara and took the doll and just swooned over it then TOLD her security man at her side to make SURE it got back to her dressing room, Awesome !!! She shook hands with another then took hold of Ed's hands, he was beyond speechless only able to remark to me of just how " Tiny " , but oh so beautiful she really is, then she came over to me, I was the last person and took my hands as I kissed hers and I looked at her and said thank you , we all love you so very much and she replied I love you all also, " and my heart skipped a beat , for I was no longer lonely " !! She stood back up in front of me and faced the crowd as she continued to wave out at everyone for a while then moved back to her microphone to finish the song..After thanking everyone for being here and all their support she left the stage for a few then returned for an awesome version of Led Zeps " Rock & Roll "..Left the stage once more and soon returned for a final encore of Beauty & The Beast, while we were all still able to be standing at the stage, the back drop was showing scenes from the actual movie that Stevie says inspired this song " Thank you Sharona "...Thanks us all once more and ask that we continue to love and care for one another and will be seeing us all again, then steps back and does a few bows with all the band lined up side by side hand in hand....Thank you Stevie once more for everything and may God continue to bless you and yours !!! Until next time, I Can't Wait !!!!
Sadie I am still rockin' from the show I saw in Cincinnati last night. It was hot
and humid, but Stevie looked calm and cool. I have seen Stevie two other
times solo and I must admit she looked like she was having more fun this
time than any other. She was in excellent form and was in a really good
mood, joking with the band and the audience. There were a few brief moments
of technical problems, but she just joked about them and went on singing!
Her costume changes were great! I have never seen her perform in a white
dress or in pants before. The gown at the end ... with her hair all
up...beautiful!
The set list was great, but sometimes you wish you could hear some other old
fav's like "Rock a Little", and "Sara" (and so many more!), although I
understand some of these may belong to Fleetwood Mac and I know she would
have to drop other fav's to fit these in. I was really glad to hear her do
my fav's from TISL. "Beauty and the Beast" was awesome. The cover of Led
Zeppelin's "Rock 'n Roll" was outstanding! She truly rocked that song!
What more can I say? It becomes impossible to describe the experience. When
people asked me today how the show was...I just say..."Listen to me, I have
no voice, I screamed and sang and yelled so much. Look at me, I am grinning
from ear to ear. Yeah. It was a great, awesome, outstanding, rockin, kick
ass show! I wish I could go again tonight!"
The only thing left I can say is....Thank You Stevie!
Barbara McLuin I am still on cloud nine from the Cincinnati Stevie show last Tuesday...
I had made Stevie a custom doll, as I know she loves dolls, and this one had her own tambourine with ribbons, and a velvet beret, along with dark dark brown eyes, and straight pale blonde hair, I named her "Angel"...She was dressed in ivory lace, and I was so hoping to be able to give her to Stevie, I was in the 4th row, pit, so I had hope.
I traveled from Lexington, KY. to Cincy, not a bad drive at all, and checked into my hotel, had some lunch, then got ready for the EVENT. I decided to wear all white/ivory, with my Gold Dust Woman shawl over it, and I rode to the show with my beautiful friend, Rebecca.
We arrived about 15 minutes before Vannessa C.'s set, and she came out, looking lovely, and did her set, I am not very familiar with her music, I had heard about two of the songs before, but she did a very good job.
During the intermission, I walked around, and met a lot of wonderful Stevie fans, and handed out some shawls and other "Stevie" gifts I had brought to share...then it was back to my seat, time for HER!
She began with "Enchanted" and looked and sounded beyond AWESOME...I was just blown away from her first note. The band was tight, and except for one minor sound problem, which was fixed right away, everything went smoothly. The songs just flowed...and Stevie's energy and vocals were off the chain.
I saw two people come up by me from behind me, and I figured that "Edge" must be next, so I stood up, and as soon as the song started, rushed to the stage, along with a lot of other people. Luckily, I made it right to the stage, in the very front, just off to the right side, with Angel in my hand.
Stevie started shaking hands, and was getting closer and closer, and then there she was! I held Angel up, and she took her, and turned her around to look at her, and her eyes got a bit big, and she looked at me and took my hand, and said "oooh, she is SO pretty!"...well, by now I am so overjoyed, and overwhelmed, all I could say was, "she is YOU!" (meaning that is why she is pretty)...she said, "thank you" and then, I had to let her go...I started crying, and continued all the way till the end of the song.
She came back for her encores, and was just incredible. I would like to thank you, Stevie, for making that night so amazing, I am so happy you liked Angel, she loves you, too!
If anyone has a photo of Stevie with Angel from that night, please eMail me (BarbJRose@aol.com), as I would cherish that.
Thank you, Stevie...for everything...I will not forget this night.
Dave Campbell First off, let me start by saying what you all wanna hear, "THE SHOW WAS INCREDIBLE".. and it REALLY WAS! I haven't missed a Stevie or Fleetwood Mac tour since 1984. And I've seen Stevie at her absolute best & worst over the years. But I honestly have to say that last night's show really takes the cake, hands down. I haven't seen her this energetic since Red Rocks. She really ROCKED OUT!! And usually it's the Fleetwood Mac shows where she cuts loose & seems more wild onstage. But she was ON FIRE last night. There's really no way for me to recreate the magic in words and convey the energy & electricity of the performance. You just HAD to be there to know what I mean... So, even if you think you've seen all her tricks & there's nothing else she could do to surprise you, GO TO A SHOW on this tour and you will be prepare to be enlightened! She was on level 10 all night long, from the opening of "Enchanted" to the close of "Beauty & The Beast", she was like a runaway train up there on that stage.
My best friend is a hardcore Tina Turner fan... he thinks of Tina as some sort of "god" whose performance & stage delivery cannot be paralleled by any other performer, hands down... but after seeing Stevie from the second row last night, he was in shock & total disbelief that someone actually topped Tina. And that SAYS IT ALL, coming from him.
I was expecting the same set list from the first two shows, but was pleasantly surprised with the way she mixed it up. And although I was really hoping she would surprise us with "Sara", I didn't walk away feeling the least bit deprived with the surprises she DID include.
Vanessa Carlton did her short little set amidst a heavy downpour of rain & ominous black clouds of lightning, which forced most of the people on the lawn to retreat up to the shelters along the back wall. But as soon as she finished her set, they played the Bootylicious/Dreams remixes while changing the stage over for Stevie and sun burst through the clouds, creating a beautiful rainbow sunshower on the lawn, where all the hippies danced in the mud like some sort of flashback to Woodstock. And as soon as Stevie took the stage, the rain suddenly stopped like someone had turned off a switch. It reminded me of the 1998 Enchanted show when, at the beginning of the show, a black storm cloud was coming straight towards the stage & Stevie said some sort of funny spell while pointing at the cloud & the wind literally shifted & carried the cloud in the opposite direction. There seems to always be some issue with the weather when Stevie plays Riverbend, whether it be rain or unbearable humidity, but when she takes the stage, it always changes & cools off so you can really enjoy the show... magical...
Anyhow, she kicked everything off with the most rousing version of "Enchanted" I've ever heard... her voice was so strong & intense, timing, pitch & delivery couldn't have been more perfect. This was the first surprise, as I was expecting the usual opening of "Outside the Rain" into "Dreams", but I think she was trying to avoid the 2 "rain songs" as openers since everyone was so nervously watching the sky anticipating another downpour. She rocked this one like I've never seen before, then screaming "Wo, wo, wo, CINCINNATI!!!" at the end. Awesome!
Next was "Stop Draggin My Heart Around" which was another stellar performance and Waddy really went crazy on guitar with some hard metal riffs. It was really a nice new twist to a song that sounded almost stale during the "Trouble In Shangri-La shows" I hope they continue to do this version from now on when it's included in the setlist.
Next up was "Outside The Rain" into "Dreams" and Stevie really rocked out on both, but especially on "Outside" when she did the "look in my eyes, touch my face, baby do you really think that there's ever going to be anyone in the world to ever replace me" faster and louder than I've seen since the 80's. Awesome images of heavy rain pouring on the screens behind her. She also pointed at the sky at the opening of "Dreams" saying "Rain, rain, go away!" which was again, reminiscent of the Enchanted show I described earlier.
"Rhiannon" was next with an extended heavy hitting piano intro that should prove to be a highlight of this tour as it was so intense and added so much more to the song once Stevie finally came out after changing into the usual "Rhiannon dress". She did mix this song up a little by opting to stand absolutely frozen, arms extended during the build up to the "dreams unwind" climax, where it's all bass guitar & piano for a few moments. She did several poses during this time, which coincided with the personal drawings & paintings of Rhiannon that were flashing on the screen behind her. Loved It!
Then came "Stand Back" and "Sorcerer". "Stand Back" was better than I've heard it in a LOOOONG TIME. Same tempo, Waddy didn't really rock this one any harder than usual, but Stevie's vocals were over the top, completely drowning out Sharon & Jana with an extended "why don't you taaaaaaake me home" at the end, which I've NEVER seen, EVER, as usually it's Sharon who finishes that note. And the continuous images of her spinning at lightning speed on the screens behind her while she spun onstage 17 TIMES during the guitar solo made this performance flawless. "Sorcerer" however, got off to a bad start as the sound system started cutting in and out & they had to extend the opening music until the problem was corrected, which only took about 20 seconds, but everyone was starting to look nervous onstage for a moment. I'm not real fond of the live version of this tune as she doesn't do the high falsettos live, but she more than made up for that with the ending which really rocked the house. Extended "tired", "don't ya know I'm thirsty", "oooh so wild eyed" at the end were very well placed & permanently cemented this song as a staple in future shows.
She did a brief speech about one.org and joked about how she "doesn't have a computer at home" and has to "describe this the best way she can without sounding like a complete idiot, so bear with me", then dedicated "Has Anyone Ever Written" to the organization, to poverty stricken people with AIDS around the world and "of course to all of you". This song was another that was becoming stale, but she sang it with such sincerity & intensity that I literally broke down in tears and had to sit down several times because I just couldn't handle hearing the tears she was obviously choking back in her voice, yet, she stretched her voice farther than she ever has with this song before. Breathtaking.
I was still choked up & crying well into "Gold Dust Woman" which was a much harder rockin version than she's ever done before & really should be another highlight during this tour as she drew the ending out really long as she stood completely still back to back with Waddy as he shredded his guitar with her gold wings extended over him. She also did the new ending with "baby, baby, you sure as hell can't save me now" which was very aggressive & rocked in a way I couldn't have imagined without seeing it with my own eyes. This performance was absolutely ELECTRIFYING!
She took off her gold shawl, dropping it onto the stage floor right beside her, then stated that she'd like to "do something she's never done before" mentioning that "her friend Bonnie Raitt wrote this song" and that although it's a 10 year old song, she "only heard it for the first time a year ago and fell absolutely in love with it", then adding that once she talked to Bonnie and found out that she had written it about her dad, she "loved it so much more". I have only heard the song a few times online since I found out Stevie was doing it on this tour and wasn't really impressed with Bonnie's version, but Stevie made the song her own, it was a real tearjerker.
"Fall from Grace" started with some "wardrobe difficulties" as she later joked about, when a sound guy had to come over to her during the "i touch with gossamer wings" verse to reattach her wire to her dress, but she just continued to sing, arms outstretched so he could make a complete circle around her, doing what he had to do and everything was fixed by the time she broke into the chorus. Kinda ironic that both songs she did from "Trouble in Shangri-La" had "troubles" onstage. Awesome version of this song as she pointed out her arm in three different directions at the end screaming, "Just to make sure" (points to the left), "Just to make sure" (points to the center), "Just to make sure" (points to the right) "YOU SURVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!" Raw & very aggressive. Loved it!
She then dedicated "Landslide" to all the girls in the audience and while she sang, the "Sometimes it's a Bitch" video played in slow motion on the screens behind her with all the concert and studio clips from over the years which completely revitalized this song & gave it entirely new context. It was really emotional & will hopefully be done this way from now on. Timeless.
"Edge of Seventeen" followed the usual drum solo but Stevie opted to wear a white skirt with a black leather corset & a black shawl which was different than the solid white look I'm used to seeing for this song but it looked really victorian & classy. Welcome wardrobe change to spice this song up a bit. But her vocals are what put this song into the stratosphere... she rocked out so aggressively (as did Waddy) and stretched the notes so far that I started to wonder if she'd had a lung transplant. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It was absolutely AMAZING.
She then did the usual stage walk where she touches hands with the first few rows of fans, then returned to the mic after a record 31 SLOW SPINS and finished off the song before wishing everyone "Goodnight" and rushing offstage to prepare for the much anticipated encore.
She returned moments later in a pair of black leather pants with metal stud designs down the leg and a long black orchestra conductors coat to rock out a version of Led Zeppelin's "Rock'n'Roll" like I never dreamed she could handle vocally. But she did more than "handle" it, she tore it up, made it her own by making some slight changes to the "ooh yeahs" and Waddy was ON FIRE during this song. I was totally BLOWN AWAY with how she delivered this song. Hope it will become a new staple in the setlist and permanently replace "I Need To Know" which is also great, but doesn't hold a candle to the way she does this song.
Finally, after an incredibly brief trip backstage, she slowly twirled to the mic in darkness during the opening keyboards of "Beauty and the Beast". She reached the mic just as the music broke and stood there silent for almost 20 seconds before breaking into the first line of the song and the lights came up to reveal her in a long black robe, much different from the one I expected from the previous show reviews as it was "hooded" and she had the hood pulled up over her hair, shadowing her face during the first part of the song while the original black & white french version of the movie played in slow motion behind her on the screen. As she broke into the first chorus, she slowly pulled the hood back to reveal her hair up in a bun. She looked absolutely RAVISHING!! She took this song to a new level not only with the movie images playing behind her & the beautiful robe, but most IMPORTANTLY, with her vocal delivery. I HAVE NEVER heard her voice sound so RICH, so PITCH PERFECT and so FULL of emotion.
She really does this song differently than she did in the 80's. It's slower in some spots to accomodate her twirls & her onstage re-enactment of the scenes in the movie and this allows her the opportunity to stretch out the lyrics in amazing long winded notes. And her voice didn't crack or tremble or lose strength one time during the unbelievably long vocal stretches. I was completely AWESTRUCK!! I think I was in too much shock to cry. Everyone was absolutely still and silent, holding their breath until the very last note of the song. It was THAT POWERFUL!! Words cannot describe it enough. You really MUST see it for yourself to believe it. Hands down, the most important reason to go to this tour.
My only wish is that they will record at least one of the shows on this tour for DVD... hopefully the Red Rocks show coming up. It would easily become the most important piece of every fans Stevie DVD library. "Red Rocks - 20 years later" ... it could definitely make the original obsolete. If not, they at least need to make a taping of "Beauty & the Beast" available to the public as it is the most cinematic and breathtaking thing she's ever done onstage. Truly phenomenal.
Well, I really didn't expect to write a novel about the show, but it was THAT AMAZING! If you never go to another Stevie or Fleetwood Mac show in your lifetime, YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST GO to this tour!
ROCK ON STEVIE!!! You've once again proven yourself to be the most gifted, inspiring, breathtaking & emotional bare artist in the biz. Thanks for touching me the way no other artist ever has or ever will. You are truly a gift to this world and to your fans. And if it's the last thing you ever do, PLEASE give us a DVD of this tour. It's been so long and we are all so hungry for a new solo concert video. Thanks again for a wonderful night! Love, peace & chicken grease!
Susan Prater Words cannot describe the performance that Stevie gave at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was incredible, energizing, captivating, and one that I will never forget.
It was my first time to ever see Stevie in concert, even though I have been a fan since Fleetwood Mac hit the airwaves with "Rhiannon" in 1975. To see her in concert was the ultimate experience for me. She opened the the show with "Enchanted", which bridged into "Dreams" and the song rocked. I was on the lawn and everyone was into the music. She continued the show with other favorites like "Rhiannon", "Outside the Rain", and "Sorcerer". There was an awesome drum/guitar break before "Edge of Seventeen" and the crowd was going wild waiting for Stevie to come back out from her costumes change and do the song. I would have to say this version of "Edge of Seventeen" was the most dynamic one I have ever heard.
Stevie also performed "Gold Dust Woman", Bonnie Raitt's "Circle Dance", and a highly-charged "Stand Back". She also performed "Landslide" and the entire hillside at Riverbend was singing along. On the screen behind her, a retrospective video of Stevie's career was playing, ending with pictures of her as a baby.
Before singing "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You?", Stevie spoke to the audience about the "ONE" program and its goal of eliminating poverty. She said that many people are not aware the there are people in the world who live on less than one dollar a day. She encouraged concert-goers to log onto www.one.org and sign the petition that would encourage President Bush to enact legislature that would help stop poverty in America and other countries. Then she performed the song, and dedicated it to all of those people in need.
Stevie took time from the concert to introduce her band, who were a wonderful group of musicians, with Waddy Wachtal on lead guitar, then went right back into action again. My perception of her was that she was having a great time on stage.
Stevie and the band left the stage, then did an encore of Led Zepplin's "Rock and Roll". She came back on following that song and closed with "Beauty and the Beast". It was a spectacular performance.
It was truly and evening and performance that I will never forget. I took my daughter with me to the concert. I can't think of a better performer for her to see than Stevie Nicks, but then she's been listening to Stevie ever since she could hum a tune, so she's already a big fan.
Julie Hillenbrand-Indiana What an absolutely fabulous evening! My friend, Jill and I drove for three hours to see Stevie; an evening well worth the price of gas!! Once again I was mesmerized by Stevie's performance; I was so very fortunate to have 1st row seats; right in front of Stevie and her microphone--oh my God!! She didn't miss a beat (even with a couple of mishaps--my favorite being the "shawl snatching" incident after "Gold Dust Woman") or miss a note; Stevie sang and danced her heart out. The most memorable moment for me, was during her "walk" across the stage--I was able to personally hand her a bouquet of roses, hold her hands and speak to her! A moment I will never forget. Stevie is truly a legend-but most importantly, she is a great lady full of style, grace and charm. Thank you Stevie, for a magical, mystical night that I will always treasure!!
Stephanie Busch I saw Stevie Nicks at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, and this concert was truly magical. There is no one in this world who can light up a stage like Stevie! This magical lady never once hit a sour note, and her spins were more energetic than ever! She truly gets better with age. She added Landslide to the song list for this show, which I read from other reviews was omitted from the previous Gold Dust shows. She dedicated this song to all of us fans, and said "this song needs no introduction," which of course it didn't! Every single song was magical tonight, my favorites included Rhiannon and Edge of Seventeen. I also loved how at one point, they showed pictures of Stevie as a child and some of her earlier tours on the large screen behind her. Stevie was so personable throughout the show, I could tell she really loves her fans. A few blooper-worthy moments included a mic problem when a roady had to run out on stage during "Fall from Grace" and fix her mic transmitter. Also, she nearly jumped out of her skin when another grabbed her Gold Dust Woman shaw off of her arm to take back stage, scaring her, and she just laughed about it and continued on with the show! She never missed a beat! Vanessa Carlton was a suprising delight as well, giving us a flawless performance! Thank you, Stevie Nicks, for a magical night, and never stop rocking!
Barbra McGuire Miss Stephanie Nicks just gets better and better everytime i see her. This was my third time seeing stevie. So i knew exactly what to expect. when bootylicious started i was like yep stevies coming. and then the remix. and then STEVIE .........I cant even begin to tell anyone at all how wonderfully kind and talented miss stephanie nicks is. shes an amazing woman you guys. since my band used to do "rock n roll" to hear stevie do it.. that was amazing. and jana and sharon did wonderful and looked wonderful. and before stevie came out. i looked behind me and im like that guy looks like taku. and i go up to him hes wearing a pass. and im like are u taku he said yes i am and took pics with me hes a sweetheart. I MET TAKU. i can hardly believe it. i cried during beauty and the beast. and security gave her my basket during edge of 17.so i feel loved. security was mean and wouldnt let me shake her hand. which sucked out loud. but i did get to stay in the front row off to the side. . guys..im still on a high. who needs drugs when there's STEVIE NICKS!!!
Chris Darkes Last night was truly awesome. Before Stevie went on one of the stage hands went out on stage to grab her tambourine. I knew then that Outside the Rain would be scratched. She came out as beautiful as ever and opened with Enchanted! What a treat! I drove down from Columbus in nothing but pouring rain, hoping that it would clear up for the concert. Two songs later ironically Stevie said "no rain!" and THEN Outside The Rain/Dreams played. Other set changed were the drop of I Need To Know and replacement Landslide. The overhead screen showed the music video from Sometimes It's A Bitch... very cool! Slight mishaps with Mr. Tuggles' guitar on Sorcerer and a "Wardrobe Malfunction" on Stevie's dress mounted headset occurred. The laugh of the evening was after Gold Dust Woman Stevie went on to the next song with her gold shawl in her hand. After that song a stage hand ran by, grabbing the shawl from Stevie scaring her to death. Of course Stevie made a funny comment about it. It seems that Miss Nicks has more energy than the last Mac tour. I hope she keeps up the good work for I know we all love her and appreciate every little thing she does for us fans. Rock on gold dust woman...
Cindy Bryant What a fantastic night! The skies along the Ohio River cleared, just in
time for Vanessa Carlton. After hearing her wonderful piano, we were ready
for Stevie. All I can say is WOW. I saw Fleetwood Mac twice in 2003 and
was not sure what to expect from seeing just Stevie Nicks. I was not
disappointed. She opened with Enchanted...Stop Draggin My Heart
Around...Outside the Rain....Dreams... all WONDERFUL! Guess what

Teresa Whitton Hello, I had went to this concert last evening, What and incredible show! Stevie looked great, All I can say is absolutley perfect, Stevie I will see you next year.Thankyou for a great show!
Kent Bailey The crowd at a Stevie Nicks concert is a different breed. You can turn to anyone around you and know you all have one thing in common, a love for this great artist. I have seen Stevie perform over 8 times; this ranks right up there as one of, if not the best, I have ever seen her. Vanessa Carlton opened the set, dressed in a beautiful golden dress with boots that looked like they were give to her by Stevie. It was simply her and her piano, and she was amazing. Most people didn't know who she was, at the end of her too short set, I heard many people talking about how good they thought she was. She sang her hits, and a few new tunes as well. She was very humorous too, and the crowd gave her a standing ovation, which she well deserved. After a VERY brief intermission, the crowd heard the strains of Bootylicious with the unmistakeable chords from Edge of Seventeen. It was very humorous seeing everyone rush back to their seats in anticipation of Stevie. She opened with
Enchanted, then Outside the Rain, which segued into Dreams. There was a couple of technical difficulties, but Stevie laughed them off to the crowd as "wardrobe malfunctions". She seemed in a very good mood, and I was AMAZED at how much she danced. She kicked her leg almost above her head at the end of one song! And the spins...oh my how she spun...like I've never seen her spin...and every time she did, the crowd went NUTS! Stand Back was a true highlight also. The band was INCREDIBLE, Waddy Wachel's guitar work on some of her older songs made them seem new again. She introduced Landslide by saying that it needed no introduction, and it didn't. The sound of her voice, the guitar, and the crowd singing along with her was unbelieveable. After a 15 minute version of Edge of Seventeen which whipped the crowd into a frenzy, came a very brief intermission again, then the encore. She broke into Rock and Roll, by Led Zeppelin. Let me tell you, I thought the roof was going to
cave in on the venue, she sang her HEART out on that song...made it hers alone...and the crowd went ballistic. I have seen many concerts, that was by far one of the best songs I have ever seen live in my lifetime. It was worth the price of admission just to hear her sing that, and I HOPE she releases that song. Finally, she came out in a 40's style velvet cape and hat, the film Beauty and the Beast playing on the screen behind her. The crowd was absolutely silent; the emotion she put in that song was breathtaking. It was almost trancelike. I looked around towards the end of that song, and the crowd was totally enraptured. Everyone walked out of that show with a smile on their faces. Thank you Stevie...thank you thank you thank you. You continue to amaze and inspire us all.
