Opening Night! THANK YOU for an amazing night! Philly is home town, but when Stevie Nicks comes to town, it's like being in another world. Stevie and the awesome bands turned that whole world upside down! What a hoot to have Stevie come out singing on "Hotel California" and Mr. Don Henley bordered on sacriledge singing "Gold Dust Woman! " We were all smiling, laughing and almost in tears at times. WHAT A SHOW!!!! It was THE SHOW OF SHOWS!!! Everyone present knew this was going to be something pretty special. You ALL looked amazing on the stage, and a special note to Stevie: as Jim Ladd said it, you look absolutely stunning! WOW! Radiant, gorgeous, happy, strong-- there aren't enough words to describe not only Stevie, but the entire band. Our dear musical director, Mr. Waddy Wachtel is on FIRE! This tour is not to be missed. TWO shows for the price of one, and it's Stevie and Don like you've never seen them before! As you have probably read in other reviews, Mr. Don Henley does his own set, joined in by Stevie Nicks for a couple of songs. But not just "joined"; as Stevie came out of the background to thunderous applause from the crowd, Don allowed Stevie to take the lead on a couple of Don's most celebrated songs! Don announced he was "Stevie's opening act," which drew a large amount of applause from the Philadelphians. He also joked at one point that Stevie was going to step away for a bit to try on some more clothes. Don has a magnificient voice and range, and he delivers every time he's on stage. I last saw Don Henley solo at Red Rocks Colorado for his "Inside Job" tour, saw him at the Tower Theatre in Philly-- WOW, this man never disappoints! I'm thrilled that he and Stevie decided to make a little touring magic together this time around. Mr. Henley opened his set with a slice from his latest "Inside Job" album, called "The Genie." You really can't get the genie back in the bottle-- and Don poured his soul into the audience. Next song up was a deep bluesy number-- "you put a spell on me baby!" When Steuart hoisted the double white guitar over his shoulders, it was clear that a bit of magic was about to happen. Ah, we knew it with just the first couple of notes, and the audience was up outta their seats hollering loudly. WELCOME to the Hotel California! It was cool to hear the audience singing along. What was even cooler was the shock of Stevie walking out in the midst of the song! Pure silk. Two legendary voices, just as the show was billed. The follow up song, "New York Minute" took you right to whatever you were doing on September 11, 20001. Everything can change. Thank you for that beautiful song, Don. Having Stevie sing on that one meant a lot to us. Frank Simes knew he had a lot of friends in the audience, having performed with both Don and Stevie in the past, and he really reached out to the audience and came right up to the brink of the stage to greet the fans. If you had the chance to see performance of The Eagles on NBC tv on June 1st, 2005, you'd would definitely recognize the handsome Mr. Steuart Smith, giving Don a powerful guitar backing during his set. You didn't get to hear all the songs that Don does on his solo outtings, but we definitely got the powerhouse set! He kept the audience on their feet! Thank you Don Henley! :o) Scott Craigo sold Don's show with his powerful drumming! I don't know the names of the rest of the Don Henley band, but want to say, "THANK YOU!" Don had us join in singing, "Let somebody love you" as he ended his set with Desperado. I was so glad there was an intermission with this show. We really needed a bit of time to recover, have "a lovely beverage" and talk out what we had seen on the stage-- just as the bands need time to reassemble, and literally flip the stage around on a magic moving carpet ride. The excitement in the audience was palpable. Among the comments made by people: "Stevie has been working out!" "She looks gorgeous;" she is "terminally pretty!" "Did you see those pants she was wearing??? Studded all the way down the sides!" "Do you think Lori Nicks will be on stage?" "Will they do "Beauty And The Beast?" "I LOVED Waddy's costume changes in Vegas-- what's he going to wear tonight?!" hahahaha! Finally, it was Stevie's turn. There was a nod to Destiny's Child, who sampled "Edge Of Seventeen" to shake up the audience and bring us back to attention after the fifteen minute intermission. Next, "Dreams" in a new mix came out over the pipes, the lights were low and finally the band made their way to the stage. Philadelphia is Stevie country, and the audience went totally nuts as Stevie made her way to the microphone. This was not the usual set list by any means. Yes, it opened with "Outside The Rain" followed by "Dreams," but Stevie jazzed up "Outside The Rain," and the surprises kept coming. The songs were hauntingly familiar, but totally shaken up as Stevie allowed Don Henley to step in on Gold Dust Woman and others in the set! I couldn't help but laugh and shake my head "NO!". Don can't sing THAT song; however, Don's voice was beautiful as he performed. As Don sang, Stevie stood nearby and did the gestures of "like a woman". I was concerned that Don would borrow Stevie's cape and do some vamping at the end. Nope, he was totally respectful. ;o) The sky is the limit, it seems, on this tour. Stevie covered a song by Bonnie Raitt called "Circle Dance." It was a wonderful surprise, and Stevie and Don both sang along. I hope everyone gets a chance to see it. It was wonderful to have Sharon Celani and Stevie singing as the same microphone for "Edge Of Seventeen" and to watch the ladies conjure up the white winged dove's spirit for us one more time. Jana Anderson and Sharon were beautiful and their voices give Stevie's song even more magic. Lori wasn't there on stage. I'm still hoping maybe there's a chance to see Lori as the solo tour comes along later this summer. We all cry out for the "nightbird," including this cat in the dark! :o) Stevie's got a powerful band led by my favorite guitarist, Mr. Waddy Wachtel, including Carlos Rios (a friend and supporter of Stevie forEVER, of whom Stevie said he kept her from falling), Taku Hirano, Brett Tuggle-- and the brand new drummer Jimmy Paxon. A special kudos to pianist Mr. M. Smith, who brought tears to my eyes, as Stevie performed "Beauty And The Beast" with the backdrop of the original black and white movie playing behind her. The magic kept coming! "Leather and Lace," and a surprising song, "So You Want To Be A Rock & Roll Star." The lyrics include: Then take some time and learn how to play. Have no worry. BOTH of these bands know how to play! Boy howdy! Thank you, Stevie and Don, for one magical night. Thank you band members and crew for all you did to put this together. I know it doesn't "just happen:" from the beautiful lighting, the sound, the back drops, the rigging, the transport drivers, the wardrobe people (even Don had a wardrobe!). This tour was a miracle. Thank you EVERYONE for all you did. Your hard work really shows, and you made this night one to remember. Thank you for opening in MY home town! I sure hope you felt the love coming back atcha from the "city that loves you back!" :o)

How wonderful it was to have them open their tour together in Philadelphia, and to see 1 of only 9 shows of them together! The only bad part was the nasty rain all day (after having a beautiful week of sunny weather). This made traffic getting to the show almost impossible. We arrived just in time, thank God! It was a GREAT show. Don Henley opened and Stevie joined him by the 2nd or 3rd song (Hotel California). It was awesome seeing Stevie sing some Eagles/Don Henley songs! Don Henley?s voice sounded exactly as it did 20 years ago. He sounded great. He also looked great! It was sweet watching them interact onstage together. They did a slow dance as well (aawwww, how cute is that!?). Stevie?s show began the second portion of the concert, and it rocked as usual. Beauty and the Beast was one of the many highlights of her performance. She also looked beautiful herself. She did a great high kick at the end of Stand Back. Woo Hoo! I hope I can still do that at her age! One of the encore songs was Leather & Lace. Don goofed on part of it, and then started laughing. It was funny. The band did good covering it up. I like when things like that happen. It keeps it real. The bummer was that the ?bouncers? kept everybody from the stage at the end of Edge of Seventeen. Only a handful of people got up there. Everybody else was held back at row 7. L What a treat to get to see this performance! It was night full of hit songs. Between the two of them, it was one hit after another. You got some Don Henley, some Eagles, some Stevie Nicks, and some Fleetwood Mac. If you have the opportunity, this is a ?must-see? concert. I just purchased tickets to see them again in Hershey PA as well. I hope they release it on DVD in the near future.

This was the best show I have ever seen of Stevie. I have seen her 4 times. A few of them with Fleetwood Mac. I have never seen her look more happy and alive. In some of her previous shows she has looked almost stoic. Afraid to miss a note. It seemed in this show, she just threw caution to the wind and let it rock. Don Henley seemed to breathe even more magic into her performance and they definitely have chemistry. Hotel California sung by the two of them was absolutely haunting. It was almost as if they had been there together. Stevie absolutely rocked, danced , twirled...I've never seen her with more energy. She even appeared with her spiked boots! Don of course was awesome too. Never missing a beat. This show did not get any attention in Philly which is sad. Go see this duo together. They are fabulous!

First let me say this show was absolutly awsome. Stevie is my favorite artist and has been for about 30 years. I saw my first Stevie concert August 28th 1989. I heard all her hit songs on the radio and saw her on t.v but that concert is where I connected with Stevie's soul and fell in love with her music and her wild heart. I have been to 13 shows, whether with Fleetwood Mac or solo and this show was just as good, if not better, than the first time I saw her live. She looked incredibly beautiful, and her performance couldn't have been better. Just being in her presence is a blessing, as any Stevie fan will tell you. Don was great too, he is also one of my favorite artists and "Leather and Lace" was my wedding song back in 1991 and I never dreamed that I would see them perform that song on stage together. That for me was a dream come true. Don performed a few songs, incredible I must say, and to everyone's surprise Stevie walked out on stage, she sang "Hotel California" with him and a few other songs then she left the stage. Don performed a few more songs and then there was a little break. Then it was time for the Lady of the hour, Stevie was in great spirits and sang right into everyone's heart. Stevie fans are the best!! "Beauty and the Beast" was the heartfelt song of the night, it brings me to tears everytime. Stevie had her hair pinned up just for this song, and she just look beautiful. Then after Stevie did a few songs, Don joined her on stage for a few songs. They were even more incredible together, especially when they slow danced and Don planted a nice kiss on Stevie. You must see this show, whether you are a Stevie fan from way back or a new Stevie fan, you will LOVE it. Thank you Stevie for being the best, and for being an inspiration to all of us!! Keep Rocking!

On June 3rd, I saw Stevie Nicks in concert for the very first time! I've been dying to see her for years, but couldn't because of money. Luckily, right before tickets went on sale, someone bought a print of a painting I did of Stevie, and I was able to go (first art sale, first Stevie concert ~ needless to say I was psyched!) Now for the review... It was beyond amazing! Stevie and Don sounded absolutely great together! And for opening night, everything seemed to go beautifully.... both Don and Stevie's voices were strong... they really put their heart and soul into this performance! I was sooo exicited just to be there, I wished that it wouldn't end... it was a pretty surreal experience for me:) Stevie was very warm to the audience, and made everyone in Philly feel really welcome. She and Don both looked great! She wore her trademark dresses and shawls, some very cute black pants when she first appeared on stage with Don for 'Hotel California', and yes, she wore her boots a few time

What a great kickoff to a unique duo. The night started with Don Henley performing a few songs including Witchy Woman, and what I think was I Put a Spell on You, and finally got to Hotel California when Stevie joined him. Of course you could tell she joined him because the audience went wild when she started coming on stage! She looked fabulous as ever with her hair kinda crimped. Stevie sang a few songs with Don (I can't quite recall all of them) and then left the stage for Don to perform some more songs including Boys of Summer, All She Wants to Do is Dance, In a New York Minute, Life in the Fast Lane, The Heart of the Matter, End of the Innocence, and ended with Desperado. He claimed he was only the "opening act" and that Stevie would return once she finished singing with him. Once Desperado was finished (and kudos to Don on a great set) there was about a 20 minute intermission while they set up the stage for Stevie's set. Good news is that TAKU is back on the tour! You will remember Taku from the Say You Will tour as Mick introduced him as "the master percussionist." The band, except for the piano (that's piano, not keyboards) player, is the same band from Vegas. The Stevie portion started similar to the Vegas show with the Bootylicious song from Destiny's Child, then the Dreams dance mix. Then Stevie took to the stage not with "Enchanted" but with "Outside the Rain." She did sing Enchanted however. Some of the other songs I recall her singing include Rhiannon, Dreams, Beauty and the Beast, Stop Dragging My Heart Around (with Don, not Waddy this time), Circle Dance (w/ Don...this song was originally done by Bonnie Raitt), Stand Back, Gold Dust Woman, Edge of Seventeen (surprisingly it didn't appear that many people approached the stage for this), another song with Don that was something about "So you want to be a rock star" or something, and of course they ended the night with the infamous Leather and Lace! The show was excellent (how could it possibly be badwith Stevie?!) however I did miss a lot of the songs from the Vegas show especially Sorcerer and How Still My Love. I did hear a few people who were upset that she didn't sing Landslide though. I look forward to seeing the show again in Hershey but am anticipating her solo dates moreso. While Don Henley is a great act, I'd rather see and hear a lot more of Stevie. (course I'm slightly biased huh?) Still though, the show was great! I especially liked how at the end of one of the songs...I want to say it was Enchanted but I don't recall...Stevie kicked her leg up in the air like she used to do back in the day...that was GREAT! Get your tickets and get to this show!!!

Caught Stevie and her former beau Don Henley at Philly's Wachovia Center on June 3rd. Much of the magic was there as Stevie and Don slow danced for a romantic moment and the crowd went crazy. Don is the man who gave Stevie red roses for years even while married to some one else. That magic spark came across tonight. Don was in rare form, opening with Everything Matters. He was shaking the tambourine as much as Stevie. He made cracks to the fans that he was "Stevie's opening act". Stevie joined him for a duet of Hotel California that was absolutely haunting. Don gave the crowd all of his solo crowd pleasers and gave everyone a taste of Eagles magic....Life in the Fast Lane, End of the Innocence, New York Minute (duet with Stevie) Last Worthless Evening, Witchy Woman, Spellbound, Boys of Summer, All She Wants to Do is Dance, Heart of the Matter, Desperado, Dirty Laundry. Stevie and Don did a wonderful live rendition of Leather and Lace and Stop Draggin My Heart around. Stevie also broke out the old standards to the thrill of the crowd... we were treated to Outside the Rain, Dreams, Rhiannon, Enchanted, Stand Back, Gold Dust Woman. Stevie's show was more rock concert while Don's was more acoustic guitar and vocals. She had a heavily tasselled rhythmtech tambourine and was swirling and twirling. Beauty and the Beast was the most moving part of the entire performance. Stevie wore her hair up and the screen flashed scenes from Jean Cocteau's 1946 Le Belle and Le Bete masterpiece. The entire audience was silent as Stevie poured her heart into this song. Stevie broke from tradition and wore jeans....they had rhinestones down the sides...no platforms, she wore the elevated reeboks and regular boots and showed the crowd some new shawls. It was TRULY a TWO FOR THE PRICE OF ONE LAST NIGHT. IT WAS A ~~PHENOMENAL PERFORMANCE FROM BOTH~~ Stevie, WE LOVE YOU!!~~THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US INTO YOUR WORLD AND FOR ALL YOU DO FOR THE FANS AND FOR THE MILITARY MEMBERS STATIONED OVERSEAS !

Hey Everyone, This concert was incredible. Who at 57 years of age continues to look better and younger?...hmmm...Stevie. Don and Stevie's voice together was very enchanting. The first set of songs by Don was almost a serenade to Stevie...which when she appeared everyone vibrated the building. The selection of songs could not have been more amazing. What I have to say is Stevie hasn't looked better...she looked fabulous she got so thin and tone...her hair rocked as well. I loved that she was in hot jeans and some killer spiked boots...I can't say enough...Stevie hasnt looked this good since her since the the eighties...she looks so fresh and totally killer!!! Her voice is really the strongest I have ever heard it! This concert is one that you don't want to miss.

WOW!!!! What a show! The evening started out with Don Henley taking the stage a little after 8. After a few songs he was joined on stage by Stevie, much to the delight of the audience. They sang the best version of Hotel California that I have ever heard! They sang a total of 3 songs together and then Stevie left the stage. Don finished his set and came out for a two song encore ending with my personal favorite, Desperado. Don was really good but he didn't work the stage at all. He stood in the center of the stage the entire time and not once went out to either side of the crowd to acknowledge them - slightly disappointing. After a brief intermission to reset the stage for Stevie's band the crowd went nuts in anticipation of Stevie taking the stage. She was electric to say the least. She looked as beautiful as ever and the crowd loved her! During her set Don came out and sang Gold Dust Women with Stevie - awesome!!!! At the end of her set Stevie came across the stage to shake hands and thank the crowd. It was great!!! My wife was lucky enough to shake her hand and she said it was sincere and appreciative. I wasn't as lucky but was very close to her and both my wife and I look forward to seeing her another time (hopefully at the Borgata on July 1st if we can get good seats). Overall the concert was well worth the money. Both Don and Stevie put on a wonderful show. They looked good and sounded spectacular! This is a concert I'll remember for a LONG time!!!! Thanks Stevie for a great show and I look forward to seeing you on the Gold Dust Tour later this summer!

What a treat to witness opening night of this brief and very special tour with two musical greats! This marks the 15th time I've seen Stevie Nicks perform (counting FM and solo tours), and the 2nd time I've seen Don Henley in concert. They are undeniably two great talents, each with a unique style and such distinctive voices. To see them share the stage, and hear them mix their voices and then take turns trading verses on some of their biggest hits was phenomenal. The mood of the evening was one of FUN... Stevie was absolutely beaming, and at one point she said "This is just so much fun for us, I can't begin to tell you!" The concert started at about 8:15 with Don Henley and his band taking the stage. I wasn't familiar with his opening song, but it sounded good. He then segued into "Witchy Woman", a song I haven't heard in a very long time but which sounded just great live. After the 1st three songs, the lights dimmed, a guitarist strolled on stage with a 12-string guitar, and out of the shadows walked Don and Stevie, hand in hand, as the opening strains of "Hotel California" began. That alone brought the concert up to a whole new level, and the performance did not disappoint. Stevie looked terrific, dressed in a pretty top with silky pants lined with sequins along the seams, and her long hair unfurled and very pretty. It's a more casual look than usual, like she was ready to sing in a bar or something. Don and Stevie knocked our socks off with their new take on the classic "Hotel California", it was fun, it was feisty, it was very, very cool. Stevie played 3 songs with Don, and then Don said something like "Stevie will be back later for her set." The crowd expressed their disappointment at having her go, but Don was like "Hey she needs to go backstage now, and try on a few clothes I think" Stevie laughed out loud and said brightly "He's right!" It was funny, something girls of all ages can relate to! :-) The rest of Don Henley's set was very good, with the volume inching up as the show went on. He played many of his greatest hits, including quite a few Eagles tunes mixed in. He and his band were note-perfect. Unfortunately there was no "Sunset Grill", but everything he played sounded great. I think the set ended about 9:20, followed by a brief intermission as the roadies changed around the stage to set up for Stevie's band. Then the house lights went down and the tapes of the Destiny's Child song with the "Edge of Seventeen" riff began to play, followed by a dance remix version of Stevie singing Dreams (our cue to get back to our seats quickly). Stevie took the stage to thunderous applause as Outside the Rain began... Stevie sang 4 songs solo, giving her all as usual. Her set included many "greatest hits" and a few surprises. She dressed in her classic dresses and shawls, with many costume changes throughout the evening. Her voice continues to amaze, it is so strong and so clear. She was dancing and twirling to her heart's delight. The best part is that she so clearly was having a great time, as was the crowd. We welcomed Don Henley back to the stage about 20 minutes or so into Stevie's set, for none other than (my favorite song ever) Gold Dust Woman. It really struck me how generous these two stars are, sharing the stage on such "signature songs" as Hotel California and Gold Dust Woman. In a word: awesome. The night was filled with greatest hits, interesting cover songs, and new takes on old favorites, especially as these two artists combined their talents in a way that only they could. The artistry, musicianship, and friendship added up to an evening of magic -- for the players and for the fans. What a terrific time. Bravo!!

Amazing is really the only word I can use to describe the show I saw in Philadelphia. Stevie sounded awesome and Don was great. The two of them really have a connection when they are on stage together. My favorite song of the night was "Stand Back." It was great. I felt like I was watching something magical. I only wish that Landslide was on the set list. Overall, great, great show. I wish I could see it again!

Alison Marie
WOW! This was my first EVER concert! Stevie sounded great! I am only 12 years old and I memorize ALL of her songs! For Don's songs she came out with a black jacket and a SHORT black skirt! She hasn't worn a short skirt for a VERY long time! She also wore what looked like black panty hose with rhinestones on the side. Stevie then went off stage. Don said" Stevie's going to go try on some clothes""I'm just the opening act. There was then an intermission so they could set the stage for Stevie. Bootylicous(I hate that name)started playing and everybody went wild. It then switched to a remix of Dreams. Then Outside the Rain started playing. She came out with a different outfit on. It was now a black jacket with sequins on it and a long black skirt. She then went into Dreams witch the entire crowd started singing.(Including me)The intro for Rhiannon was beautiful! On the screen in the backround there was a drawing. I don't know if it's one of Stevie's.She of course had on the "Rhiannon Sleeves". The crowd went nuts when she held her arms up.Enchanted was next. It was really cool to hear her do this song. She had the same outfit on as Rhiannon. Gold Dust Woman was different because Don sang with her on this song. She din't wear a gold shawl either. She wore a white one.Next Stevie and Don did a cover of a song called Circle Dancing by Bonnie Raitt. Next Stevie introduced her band. I feel REALLY bad for her because Stevie forgot her percussionists name! She said something like and my wonderful percussion player...and then she put her hands on her face because she forgot. She remembered then. Sigh. For Stand Back she wore her normal black shawl with the dots. I think they're silver but alot of people say they're gold... Whatever. Beauty and the Beast was beautiful! Stevie had on a black jacket and her hair was up in a bun or pony tail! It looked cute though.Edge of Seventeen is my favirote song by Stevie! I was SO happy when she started playing this song. I knew she would do it any way though. She always does Edge. Then for her encore she did Stop Draggin' My Heart Around. Don sang Tom Petty's part instead of Waddy.

I saw Stevie at this same venue 2 days before 9/11. That night she seemed weary and had been suffering from bronchitis. Still she rallied for a phenomenal show. The woman literally just has to show up and get a standing ovation. This time I saw Stevie Nicks.....ROCK LEGEND. All due respect to Don Henley, but every time Stevie was even spotted on stage the roar was deafening. She was is excellent voice, highly animated, and seemed to be having the time of her life. She looked so happy to be there. She rocked us (Stand Back, Enchanted, Outside the Rain were flawless), she soothed us (Beauty and the Beast was hauntingly perfect) and when she sang with Henley, she was pure joy. I have never enjoyed a concert so much and Miss Nicks was at the top of her game. The duets were perfection. She breathed new life into "Hotel California", and Henley actually made Gold Dust Woman sound even more classic. Bonnie Raitt's "Circle Game" should be a single because that song was never better. The closing "So you wanna be a Rock and Roll star" was a surpise gem, sung by a lady who defines the term. Alot has been written about Stevie's voice (both good and bad).....but her "legend" was in full force as was that unmistakeable voice. This was Stevie Nicks at full throttle and a sight to behold. The best concert I've ever been to. Thanks Miss Nicks!!

Amazing is the word. First off by a stroke of good luck my friend and I were moved from our nose bleed seats down to the floor section. We were about 20 rows away from the stage. I have never had to chance to be so close to Stevie yet. So to that special employee who made a fan's day, thank you, thank you, thank you. Don Henley was already playing by the time we were settled in our new seats. He was very good. His voice was just as you hear it on the radio. Hotel California started to play, for the second verse Stevie came out and started to sing. She blew me away. She has never sounded so good live! I urge all Stevie fans to grab a ticket for this tour. Her voice was just amazing. Stevie looked great!!! She looked like she lost even more weight, which I only mention because I am sure she is happy about it. I love Stevie no matter how big or small she is. I also noticed how long Steve's hair is now. This time it was very wavy instead of the straight style. Stevie stayed to sing NY Minute and another popular Henley song. They crowd went wild for Stevie. Don joking said that he was just the opening act. After Don Henley's set there was a short intermission, the it was time for Stevie. This was more a show then a concert. The lighting and graphics added so much energy to everything. Stevie was so energetic!!! Lots of twirls and emotional singing. And yes the Stand Back high kick has returned. Stevie made several costume changes thru out the show, all of which were just beautiful. There really is no way to describe how wonderful she was. Everytime I try to think about what to write next I end up back at the concert in my head spellbinded. All you Stevie fans have to get out there and see this show for yourselves.
