To Stephanie Nicks: To say thankyou wouldnt be enough after seeing the adelaide concert lastnight on 2.3.06 Entertainment Centre.Ive loved you since i was 14 and a half and am now 34. I first got captivated by you and I know you will always be in my heart. I have a tattoo of you, I wear it with pride which i got when I turned 21 years old. Back to the concert, that was magical you will never lose it your awsome. I've always said that I will meet you before I die. I hope that it is possible one day, but at least last night at the entertainment centre you looked at me as I gave you a banner I made and told you that I love you which I do with all my heart. My highlighted songs are, acturally they were all highlights. Just how well and healthy you look, you rock, your a legend.

What a night! On Thursday 3 March 2006, from 7 pm until 11.30 pm Stevie Nicks and John Farnham rocked the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, having the mostly middle aged (and beyond) crowd on its feet, stamping, clapping and cheering spontaneously. Newcomer Vanessa Carlton opened the show without fanfare, accompanying herself on piano for a short set of her self-penned songs, including her signature hit A Thousand Miles. She’s an unassuming, accomplished young talent. Stevie Nick’s performance was beautiful, heartfelt, polished and professional; her voice sounding deeper, mellower yet much more accomplished than on those early Mac and solo concert tapes. She’s at the peak of her craft and has honed her stage show to near perfection. (The couple of glitches were nothing to do with her – a momentary loss of amplification during one song, and the collapse of a portion of the perspex screen around the percussionist during the band’s solo bit, while Stevie was doing her quick change-act off stage). Rhiannon had fans up on their feet snapping photos with their mobile phone cameras, as rock’s ‘witchy woman’ progressed from the ballad opening of the sock, to the full-blown classic rock version. Most of Stevie’s songs would be deemed rock ballads or ‘soft rock’ these days. But her first encore song, Led Zeplin’s Rock And Roll, is a tongue in cheek (or feather in velvet top hat!) tribute to her musical roots. Stevie’s set concluded with a dramatic rendition of Beauty and the Beast complete with black velvet gown with a high rolled collar, her long blond tresses pinned up in classic style, and a lit candelabrum in the background - an appropriately atmospheric end to her 2 hour set. Then, after the stage set up had been torn down and rebuilt for the final part of the show, on came “Whispering Jack” (a.k.a. John) Farnham, The Voice of Aussie pop rock for more years than most of us care to remember. But Farnham makes fun of his age, his waistline, his memories of Australian rock classics – some of which he has recorded on his latest album, and which her performed, along with a raft of hits. Suffice to say, there wasn’t an unfamiliar tune amongst the lot. John is an exceptional performer and worker of the audience – to the point where all ages, and both sexes were on their feet clapping and stamping along to Freedom, followed by a song he dedicated to the athletes at the forthcoming “Comm” (i.e. Commonwealth) Games – “Playing to Win”. Then the final frenzy of “You’re the Voice” brought the show to a fitting, furiously exciting climax. Except there was a little more still to come – an encore and curtain calls until JF begged us all to “go home”! The double-bill show is headed off to New Zealand today, for the second leg of the tour. The first concert is in Auckland tomorrow (04 March 06).

I am a 26 yo male and my expectations of the performance delivered by Stevie Nicks and her awesome band was first class without a flaw. I love listening to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie so I knew what to expect. The performance to every details was outstanding. The order of songs, constuming, quality of sound, lightening, appropriateness of imagery and Stevie's engagement with the crowd was outstanding. I was captivated and touched by Stevie's mesmering presence and this concernt with leave a long standing impression on me. My love for the music Stevie sings and wonderful array of songs; Fleetwood Mac classics, Stevie's Classic songs, makes me want to see her again. The musicians in Stevie's band, some who combined with Lindsey Buckingham's sound stage performance, combined brilliantly with Stevie and each other. Like similar fans I would like to have seen Sara and Siliver Springs, however, I cannot really complain at all with the songs Stevie choose. Dreams and Rhiannon sounded just as good if not better than The Dance albumn. The long Piano lead in to Rhiannon was simply special. The energy behind Stand Back and Edge of Seventeen was impressive. Overall I am thoroughly satisfied with the performance I was priviliged to enjoy. I cannot wait to buy the dvd taped in Melbourne. I do hope Stevie returns to Austalia to perform again very soon. Tihis performace was a special day in my life; something I was anticiapting for a long time. Thank you Stevie and band for delivering a polished, and musically brilliant display.

Pure Magic! - The night kicked off with Vanessa Carlton who was brilliant - she is extremely talented with a great sense of fun. Then Stevie Nicks came onto the stage and there was this sense of awe as we were about to witness one of the great legends of the music industry. The concert was superb, Stevie and her band looked as though they really were having a great time. We were lucky enough to have tickets up front which was worth every penny. Towards the end of the show Stevie came along and shook our hands. She looked directly into our eyes and we were humbled by her thanks of us being there. The concert went way too quickly we didn't want it to end. Afterwards when my friend and I were leaving we saw her leave in her car - she waved at us, we hope we see you again soon Stevie. Thanks for a magical evening and thanks Stevie for the most wonderful memories.

Dear Stevie, thank you so much for coming to Adelaide. I attended your concert last night with my father and we were in awe of your stage presence and amazing voice. I am Twenty-One and this is the first time that I have seen you perform live- I was not disappointed. My favorites from the night include Rhiannon, Edge of Seventeen, Dreams, Stop Draggin My Heart Around, Sorcerer, Stand Back and I particularly liked the way that images from the past were shown during Landslide. John Farnham and Vanessa were great too and you have provided me with memories of a fantastic night which will be with me forever... Thank you once again and please return soon.

Outstanding. Spellbinding. Amazing. A fabulous, fabulous concert. Stevie looked absolutely beautiful, her voice was in excellent form, the band magnificent. Stand Back was just so energetic, and the group looked like they were having a ball. Each of Stevie's ballads had the audience riveted to their seats, with raptuos applause when they were finished. Loved Rock and Roll - great hat. Looking forward to another tour soon, please come back!
