VH1 - The Wire August 29, 2001 Stevie Nicks Cancels Two Dates On Troublesome Tour
By Teri vanHorn Stevie Nicks' respiratory woes continue to cause Trouble on her U.S. tour — the singer has scrapped two more shows, bringing her total of missed dates to 11 since the outing kicked off July 6. While the Fleetwood Mac singer rescheduled her previously skipped dates, she will not make up the two new nixes — Tuesday's show in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and a stop in Bonner Springs, Kansas, on Wednesday (August 29) — according to her publicist's office. Refund information is available on Nicks' Web site (www.nicksfix.com). Nicks hopes to resume the tour at the next scheduled date on Friday in Minneapolis. She is out in support of Trouble in Shangri-La, her first album since 1994. The singer is still battling acute bronchitis, according to her publicist. The condition develops when the branches of the windpipe swell, leading to increased mucus production, which clogs the airways. Janet Jackson has also hit several speed bumps during her summer tour due to illness. She's called off nine shows so far (see "Janet Jackson's Tour Itinerary Succumbs To Flu Again"). Stevie Nicks' revised Trouble in Shangri-La tour itinerary, according to nicksfix.com:
8/31 - Minneapolis, MN @ Target Center
