It Was Fate: Stevie Meets Her Destiny

A chance meeting between celebrities can sometimes turn into a career opportunity. Last week, when Stevie Nicks was a guest on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," the blond rocker ran into the members of Destiny's Child -- who were down the hall rehearsing for their weekend appearance on "Saturday Night Live." Nicks, whose latest album, "Trouble In Shangri-La", came out last week, is a big favorite of the pop trio. In fact, the group's latest single, "Booylicious", contains a guitar riff from one of Nicks' old songs, "Edge of Seventeen." Well, all the gals began talking and suddenly Nicks was being asked to appear on the "Bootylicious" video. She agreed. It was shot in Los Angeles yesterday.

Bootylicious!
May 11, 2001

Oops, they've done it again ... and no, this time the scantily clad culprit isn't BRITNEY SPEARS, but the divas of DESTINY'S CHILD. Their new album Survivor is out, and the girls are already shooting another mouth-watering video for the single "Bootylicious." ET caught up with the dishes on the set with STEVIE NICKS for a smoldering sneak peek!

The anxiously awaited third release from Destiny's Child has already spawned its first sizzling single with Survivor. Entering its ninth week high atop the Billboard charts, "Survivor" was inspired by the hit TV reality series of the same name.

What about "Bootylicious?" Though its title might suggest otherwise, the girls call it G-rated fun. The bass heavy beat is a peppy call-out between DC members who don't think you can "handle this!". Other festivities come in the form of the party vibe tune "Sexy Daddy" and the "no dawgs allowed" spin of "Independent Women, Part II." Though, all in all, the group claims Survivor is a kinder, gentler album with regard to men. "We love men, we just don't like dogs," Beyonc? once told Rolling Stone. And within the sly pulse of "Apple Pie A La Mode" the girls are even found scammin' on a fine male specimen.
