Fleetwood Mac proves to be one of those timeless rock acts that can successfully renew itself decades after its inception. Thirty years after the group was formed in London, their new album "The Dance" has sold more than two million copies and sparked a reunion tour that resulted in 42 sellouts out of 44 shows in 40 cities between Sept. 17 and Nov. 30. The total gross from ticket sales of 767,285 came to $36,183,224 - an average of $822,346 and 17,438 attendance per show. The highest grossing stand on the tour was the Oct. 17-19 shows at California's Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre. Those three sellouts drew 46,023 fans who paid $2,036,485 on tickets ranging from $22.50 to $125. The highest grossing single show came near the end of the tour and is on this week's BOXSCORE chart - the $1,174,075 total from a 16,164 sellout at Atlantic City (N.J.) Convention Center Nov. 29. Tickets there were $25-$100. For an in-depth look at the Fleetwood Mac tour, see Ray Waddell's feature story in this issue.
