Stevie Nicks 3CD box set sold 56,000 units in the first week!

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 1998--Modern Records (VSE: MZR.V: OTC BB: MDNR) announces that Stevie Nicks new 3 CD box set "Enchanted" has exceeded the initial expectations for sales in the first week and has sold over 56,000 units.

This tremendous sales figure will put "Enchanted" in the Billboard Top 200 list at number 85 with a bullet this week. The ranking could be much higher since "Enchanted" is a 3 CD set retailing at US$44.95 in comparison to a single CD which retails around US$12.95.

In addition it has been confirmed that Stevie will be featured in major television shows over the coming weeks. She appeared on the Jay Leno show last week and in the second week of May she can be seen on NBC's Today Show in a live performance. Stevie has been scheduled for a full interview on the David Letterman Show on June 17th. Other promotional appearances are expected shortly.

The Rolling Stone magazine May 18th issue quotes: "Let's face it, that Fleetwood Mac tour was all about Stevie Nicks" and in its album review Rolling Stone quotes: "Stevie Nicks is more than a rock icon ..." People Magazine May 11th issue features Stevie Nicks as one of the top 50 most beautiful people in the world in 1998.

"Enchanted" sales figures are for the US only and the album has yet to be released in Europe and Australia which has a large Stevie Nicks fan base. Stevie Nicks 50 city tour in America starts on May 27th. This in combination with the success of the new album will also increase sales of Stevie Nicks previous six albums released on Modern Records label. -0- The Vancouver Stock Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy and/or accuracy of the contents of this news release.
