AWESOME! Fleetwood Mac put on an incredible show last night in St. Paul, Minnesota! The Xcel Energy Center was pretty much sold out and 75% of the crowd was probably over the age of 40. We still rocked out and roared with approval for the greatest band of all time!

Stevie looked and sounded great, even managing to hit some of the high notes that she has avoided from time to time the last few years. I only wish that she would go back to curling her beautiful hair, as the straight look really seems to age her. She did some twirls for us, which caused considerable excitement in the crowd. Of course, I was mesmorized as I always am whenever I see or hear her! She is truly "the lady of the band" as Mick Fleetwood stated at the end of the show! Stevie managed to do the entire show in her high heals and had 4 costume changes. It was great to see her shake that tambourine and also wear her signature top hat for a few songs.

Lindsey is an incredible artist on the guitar. His Big Love solo had the crowd totally worked up. Watching his fingers work that guitar was truly amazing and he never let up through the entire concert. His energy was palpable and energized the stadium! Go Insane was also a crowd favorite.

Mick is still the ultimate drumming machine! His talent is extraordinary and watching him was such a delight! His facial expressions just cracked me up, because he looked like a mad Englishman banging away on the drum set! It was fun to see him in his red shoes, tights and nickers. He wore the signature balls from the Rumours album cover too! I can't imagine how drained he must be at the end of a show, but his age has not slowed him down one bit. Incredible...

John is still John, seeming to avoid the spotlight as much as possible and just playing for the love of it. Stevie would approach him often and share words with him, I noticed.

All in all, it was a fantastic concert and one that I will hold in my memory forever. I was so thrilled to be able to see them all together again, if only Christine McVie had been there....I'm wondering what happened to Sheryl Crow, as I had heard earlier that she would be taking Christine's place on this tour. But it was still a truly magical evening and everyone rocked out!

Stevie Nicks is the ultimate rock goddess!

I have been a fan of Fleetwood Mac since I was ten and my dad had me watch The Dance when it came out. Instead of being obsessed with the "popular" music my friends were listening to I was begging my parents to play Fleetwood Mac. Tuesday night was one that I had been waiting for for about 12 years. I FINALLY got to see them in person at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. Simply put the show was AMAZING! Watching Lindsey on the guitar was incredible and Stevie's voice was fantastic. I couldn't believe she was walking around in heels that were so big. Mick was great to see, always a character behind the drums. John mostly stayed out of sight but that always seemed to be his way. I was in awe the whole night and didn't want it to end. They had such a great energy and the crowed was so into the show. They did a slightly different version of "Say You Love Me" which was so well done. I can't begin to explain how great of a night it was, truly a dream come true.

Hi Stevie, saw your concert in St Paul, your second stop, about all I can say, or needs to be said, is that you were awesome. The entire band seemed to so locked in and your vocals were almost always spot on. I wish you were playing again close by because I would probably drive to see you again. Thanks for agreat night, wish you all the best, if the rerst of your tour goes as wel as the night I saw you there will be a lot of satisfied fans.

March 3, 2009 in Saint Paul Minnesota, Fleetwood Mac is back! And they were fantastic. A few years ago I was searching the web for Fleetwood Mac, I found a single picture on their page, I also found Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood's webpage. Where I visited a few times to play for virtual drums, but no information on Fleetwood Mac, I figured my dream to see them would never happen. Then it was announced they were going on tour. I was not disappointed at all, the entire band was excellent the concert was fantastic! The only other thing I could wish for would be a DVD of the event. Christine come back! :-)

Have an Awesome Day!
