05/16/09 Tacoma Dome Tacoma, WA

Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma Washington, Fleetwood Mac was gracing the stage. This was the very first time I had ever had the honor of seeing Fleetwood Mac live. This was an experience I will surely never forget. It was amazing! Stevie Nicks sang beautifully and she looked divine in her agelessness. Mick Fleetwood gave some beautiful closing words to the audience and the entire experience was glorious! From this concert experience, I have been extraordinarily inspired to live life to its fullest and to be the happiest I can be. Life is truly beautiful. Thank you all so much for this precious gift.

Stevie and Fleetwood Mac came to the Pacific Northwest again, and again I was fortunate to go see the concert in Tacoma with my sister. This makes the 4th time we have been able to see Stevie perform. Stevie and the guys sounded great! Lindsey sounded great on guitar. He does such amazing string work, and all without a pick! WOW! Listening to him perform Big Love was one of many highlights. John did his thing without much fanfare. Mick was the crazy Englishman as always. It was nice to see him step into the limelight during the encore of World Turning. Stevie, wow! She sounds amazing as always. Yes, her voice sounds a bit different as she has aged, but I personally believe that she is sounding better than ever. Overall, the concert was great! It was nice hearing new versions of some of the oldie but goodies, and to hear some songs that I have only heard on my CDs before. I was blessed to go to the concert, and I came away feeling that Fleetwood Mac felt blessed to perform for us. Next time they are in the Pacific Northwest, I'll go see them again!

Everytime I've seen Fleetwood Mac play, I've brought with me a friend who has never seen them... just a tradition. This time I brought 2 friends! The show was amazing, of course, EXCEPT for the fact that the band was almost 40 minutes late. This meant that the set was cut short... we only enjoyed one encore and we weren't blessed with Silver Springs. Stevie was sterling! Instead of straining on a lot of high notes, she went looooowwww ... the room was literally vibrating with her vibrato... thrilling!!! Gold Dust Woman literally transformed the arena into another planet... another time.... smell the incense?.... Lindsay was pure pop and that made the show fun..... but STEVIE was brilliant! I've seen the you-tube postings of Storms and they were ok, but this night was different.... like I said, she really avoided all of the loud/high notes and really focused on the deep richness that she's blessed with now... I really like that she's exploring her nuances more now than trying to replicate the way her voice sounded 30 years ago... y'know? I absolutely love her. She's so tiny and beautiful. I read in an interview that she's FINALLY stopped listening to the fools who's been whispering in her ear that the state of the music world is such that she shouldn't make any new music!!!! (WHA!!!???? ) We will finally be getting a new Stevie Nicks solo album of new material in the (hopefully) near future!!! Everyone just send your good thought to her!!!

Love and Light.

It was very obvious to me the moment I saw and heard Stevie that she wasn't feeling well. I quickly turned to the group I was with and told them that Stevie is sick. I felt very bad for her. Even though she wasn't feeling well and her voice sounded a bit different, she was out here trying her best to please us all and she did! She had help with her back up signers when she couldn't hit the higher notes. It wasn't noticeable to someone who didn't know her voice, as well as a die hard fan like me. Lindsey as always, was an animal on the guitar! I always say he is the best guitar player in the world! You can tell he takes pride in what he does and I really appreciate that. I did notice him shaking his right hand a couple of times after playing his heart out and I wondered if he is getting carpel tunnel or arthritis? Mick still captivates a crowd with his drum playing and expressions! He is fun to watch! John was cool as ever standing back playing the base effortlessly. The show was awesome because this fascinating group! They seem to get better as they age! I have lost count of how many times I have seen the group! I am guessing this was my 17th time. I even go see Lindsey and Stevie when they tour on their own. I am looking forward to a new CD and their return! My 24 year old son who was with me said " this is the best concert I have ever been to." I know now I will have to buy him a ticket every time Fleetwood Mac tours!
