Dear Nicks Fix: I saw Stevie at the Beacon Theatre last night and was
KNOCKED OVER!! It was the perfect venue for Ms. Nicks to perform. She took
the stage at about ten to 9 and played to 11 sharp (NY cerfew).
Outstanding setlist and she announced early that this is not a greatest hits
tour, but to really express her new material from "In Your Dreams". Waddy
Wachtel was also on the money,as usual, and Marc Cohn performed a 6 song
opening set including: Walking In Memphis, his signature tune. The event
staff were very curteous and the show went on without a hitch. When she was
doing her walk-around, after Edge of Seventeen, she of course was shaking
hands and accepting gifts from her fans. A fan got "fresh" and Stevie
slapped that fans hand. It was very un-Stevie like but she is getting a lot
wiser in her age. I most definetly got my moneys worth! And: Thank You, Dr.
Kessler!!!!

Have seen stevie solo and with FM about 8 times and tonight's show was the
best of them all. She looks great and her voice is strong. Loved the
Leather and Lace duet she did with her vocal coach. Gold Dust Woman and
Dreams were outstanding. The video montage of her mom and dad during
Landslide was exquisite. Stevie sequenced the set list perfectly by
combining old songs with new songs.
That lady from the mountain still has it-- she puts younger performers to
shame. Love you Stevie

Stevie Nicks rocked the Beacon Theater in her sold out 2 hour solo show on
July 2, 2012. This was a great intimate venue to see her live and I had a
3rd row seat.
During the concert, Stevie tells the audience that this is not a "Stevie
Nicks Greatest Hits Tour" but that she is back on the road supporting her
brilliant album "In Your Dreams". Which I absolutely love and still play all
the time.
She sang 6 songs from In Your Dreams: Secret Love, For What Its Worth,
Moonlight, Soldiers Angel, Annabel Lee and Ghosts Are Gone. Actually I would
have been happy if she did all the songs from the album. As expected, she
does sing the crowd favorites including Landslide, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman,
Rhinnanon, Stand Back, Edge of Seventeen and one of my favorites live -
Enchanted.
I had an 10th row center seats when I bought my tickets on the Chase pre
sale the minute they went on sale. This was the best seat I could get and it
was a fabulous seat. Then on the date of the concert, just a few hours
before show time, I just happened to search for tickets thru Live Nation and
to my surprise I found a seat in the 3rd row in Orchestra right. What luck -
I loved seeing the show so close up and naturally I was there for the Edge
walk where I shook Stevie's hand again.
Love when Stevie closes the show with Love Is, this songs gives me chills
seeing her sing it live.
I was at the first 3 nights of the IYD tour. The opening night at Jones
Beach was really an emotional night. The next night at PNC was even better
and so many of my friends were there that night and then the Beacon was my
3rd night.
Am I Happy, Yes I Am!!
