Awesome show Thursday night in Louisville to a packed YUM Center! My wife and I go to a lot of concerts, but she put it really well when she said, "We've seen a lot of live shows, but I've never felt as awestruck as I did tonight." Didn't hurt that we had seats on the front row, and she got to strum Lindsay's guitar!!
Saw FM on The Dance tour, and they were great, but last night's show was far and away the favorite. Having seen Stevie solo many times (she's the reason I'm a FM fan), I still have to get used to Lindsay's prominence at FM shows, but he was better than I have ever heard him. I don't believe he ever left the stage. Even during Mick's solo, he simply stretched out at the side of the stage and enjoyed Mick's moment. He will go down as one of the best guitar players and showmen in history, and he seemed to be having the time of his life!
Stevie also sounded perfect, and based on reviews from earlier shows she must be getting "into the groove" of the tour, as she definitely felt "Sisters of the Moon," "Gold Dust Woman," "Stand Back," and "Silver Springs." Together, the two of them sounded super, and they spent the show interacting with each other, talking to each other, holding hands, and generally looking at total peace with each other. If they thanked the audience once, they must have thanked us 20 times. Mick and John were as solid as ever--flawless.
The set list for the show was the same as listed on the Home page, except that "Say Goodbye" was played as the second song of the second encore, rather than as a separate encore (a really good move, since it was the perfect close that many people would have missed after hearing a truly show-ending version of "Silver Springs"). Two-and-a-half hours later, I think 16,000 people in Louisville can check an item off their bucket list! Music just doesn't get any better than this! Mick summed it up (as always) with the closing words--"THE MAC IS BACK!"

I want to reintegrate just how awesome the FM concert was at the KFC Yum Center.
The entire show was sheer artistry. I attended with my daughter and we sang and danced all night long. Every song sounded so great and each member of the band adds their own unique musicality. I was impressed and entertained. The music stands the test of time and the fans span a couple of generations. Keep rocking it FM, your music is the best! The stand outs for me were Gypsy, I'm so Afraid and World Turning. Thank you for gracing our city!! Love ya'll.
