Fleetwood Mac - FAN REVIEWS

04/04/2013 Nationwide Arena Columbus, OH

I drove up to Columbus (my brother is the morning anchor on Good Morning Columbus and lives up there) with my mom, and went to the concert at Nationwide with her and my sister-n-law! I grew up listening to incredible music, from Tina Turner, to Van Morrison, to Fleetwood Mac. I guess that's what happens when you grow up in a house full of musicians! (I on the other hand, do not have a musical bone in my body...). Anyway, from a young age I've always loved listening to Stevie. Her storytelling, raspy voice, and amazing talent has mesmerized me! Even though I bought the ticket for this concert for my mom for Christmas, the gift was for me as well. I was blown away! This was the first time I've ever seen Stevie & Fleetwood Mac. Seeing my mom singing every word with me, and enjoying every moment with me is something I'll remember always. And seeing Stevie Nicks rock it out and sound right in tune, with that gypsy spirit and perfect top hat? Priceless. I can't forget the rest of the band that helped to blow it out of the water. Lindsey Buckingham killed it on the guitar (I thought he might pass out at one point- he was amazing!), and of course the fun personality and amazing talent of Mick Fleetwood pulled it all together. Bravo on an amazing show, I can still see myself screaming every word to GoldDust Woman and seeing Stevie Nicks rock that shawl! I look forward to seeing them again, downloading their new music, and there is no doubt in my mind I need to see Stevie do her solo tour. Hearing Bella Donna live may just make my head explode from happiness! Ha! Thank you for an amazing show!

I had the pleasure of attending Fleetwood Mac's first show of their US tour on April 4th in Columbus, Ohio. I was sitting on the floor in the center section about 13 rows from the stage, so I had incredible seating. The band had no opening band, but Fleetwood Mac doesn't really need an opening band anyway (this was my 4th time seeing FM, and I've never seen them have an opener). The band hit the stage with full energy as they opened with "Second Hand News." Of course, they played all the classic hits that we expect to see them play (The Chain, Rhiannon, Dreams, Gold Dust Woman, Go Your Own Way, Tusk, Silver Springs, Stand Back, I'm So Afraid, Gypsy, Big Love, Landslide, Don't Stop, etc.), but the biggest treat for me was to see them finally play "Sisters Of The Moon." I don't think they've played this live since the Mirage Tour in 1982. It sounded really good, tho Stevie didn't get as into it as she did during the Mirage 1982 HBO concert. To celebrate the Tusk album, they also played "Sara," which I was also glad to hear again as well as "Not That Funny," which I honestly could have lived without since it's never been a song I liked...but, of course, the band played it very well. The band also played two new songs. One new song was a Lindsey song called "Sad Angel," which I really liked (for me, Lindsey's songs can be hit or miss, but this one was definitely a hit). The other new song, played later in the set, was a reworked version of "Without You," an old unreleased Buckingham/Nicks song previously only heard in its old demo form. Stevie and Lindsey still have incredible harmony, which can be heard in this song. Lindsey also announced during the concert that the band would have a new EP of songs that would be released in the next few days. Another song I was glad the band kept in the set was "Eyes Of The World," which I think sounds great live. The band ended the set with "Go Your Own Way," and then played four encores: World Turning, Don't Stop, Silver Springs, and Say Goodbye (Stevie/Lindsey duet).

This concert was my 4th time seeing Fleetwood Mac and my 9th time seeing Stevie live. When I saw Fleetwood Mac in Columbus in 2009, I felt like Stevie was kinda robotic onstage, like she wasn't into it...but this time, I felt like she was really into it. This is one of the best Fleetwood Mac performances I've had the pleasure of experiencing, and I hope to see them in a couple months in Cleveland as well. If you have an opportunity to see FM during this tour, I strongly recommend it.

Been to several FM concerts the last 25 years but this is by far the best. Stevie was at her best with my personal fav moment her singing SIsters of the Moon which I have never heard live before. They all rocked hard not sure how they do it now that they are older but it was a show to remember. ALso got to hear one of there new songs Sad Angel. You will not be disappointed!!!

Saw the concert last night and was literally blown away. Nationwide arena was packed with fans who did not want to see it end. Great review by Columbus Dispatch this morning. Have not had such a great experience in a long time. Good luck on the balance of the US tour, and the following UK tour. Hope to see you again in Columbus some day.

As an avid fan of FWM and Stevie Nicks, I was so happy that they decided to tour again and also happy that I can make it to two shows. I was at the Columbus show for the opening of the tour and also made it to Pittsburgh to see them. I have seen FWM and Stevie over 200 times since 1976 and they were unbelievable as usual. Lindsay is just a Guitar God. He plays so hard and so passionately that he almost passes out after each song. Mick was his usual hard drumming man. And his eye expressions are so scary. Its like he is in a trance or something. John Mcvie was his normal laid back guy, but is the center of the band with his base. And then there was Miss Stevie Nicks. What can I say. Well actually a lot. First of all she looked great. She must have been taking care of herself the last 2 years because it's the thinnest I have seen her in a long time. Not that it matters, but she really looked healthy. Her voice was really strong and powerful and she smiled so much that I knew she was having a blast up there. I was so happy that she did some old songs like "sisters of the moon", "Sara", "not that funny". And I Love their new song "sad angel". Its something that could of been on Rumors album. Then of course they did my favorites, "the chain", "second hand news", "landslide", "gypsy", "never going back again", "Rhiannon", "gold dust woman", "go your own way", "stand back", "silver springs",and many more. But hands down, the crowd showed its appreciation for "I'm so afraid" because Lindsay was possessed and played like no one has ever seen before, unless you have seen Lindsay in concert before. I would like to thanks Fleetwood Mac for continuing to show what real music is all about. Until we meet again. NEVER BREAK THE CHAIN
