Last night I had the pleasure to see my all-time favorite group, Fleetwood Mac. Again, it was an amazing performance by all and the packed house at Joe Louis Arena enjoyed every minute of it. The major highlight for me was when the whole stadium sang Landslide with Stevie (as usual). This time, the crowd broke out in applause any time there was a few second break in the song. It got so crazy that near the end of the song, Stevie actually said, tongue in cheek and with a big grin, “shut up so I can finish the song” . It was a surreal moment I will never forget as we all expressed our love and appreciation for the greatest Rock Goddess ever ! I loved the extended version of Gold Dust Woman but was a little disappointed that the opening piano piece and early verses were missing from Rhiannon. Stevie went right into the meat of the song but with how long Fleetwood MAC played on stage, I guess it’s understandable.
Lindsey was A++++ as well. I just loved Second Hand News, Go Your Own Way and I’m So Afraid (amazing guitar work at the end that had us up on our feet, screaming). The show started about 8:15 and after a four song encore, it was 11:00 PM before FM left the stage. The encore songs were: World Turning, Don’t Stop, Silver Springs and Say Goodbye closed the show. Lindsey’s backstory on Say Goodbye really enhanced the lyrics and meaning of the song, dealing with his feeling towards Stevie and Fleetwood Mac. Very emotional end to an amazing experience. If you get the chance, YouTube the 2004 Tour version of Say Goodbye and listen to the lyrics again. They are so appropriate and profound for today’s relationship Lindsey has with Stevie and his feelings towards the band. WHAT A SHOW !!!
“I Can’t Wait” for their next tour to hit the Michigan area !!!

This was such a highly anticipated show for me. I’ve been a fan of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks in particular since the 70’s. I’ve never had the chance to see a show but I do have The Dance on DVD. I finally made it to the Detroit concert and was not disappointed. In fact, it was better than I had hoped. I also appreciate the sentiments on how each individual in the band really really appreciates their fans. I want you guys and girls in Fleetwood Mac to know that the feelings our mutual and you have given us awesome moments in our lives through your music.
Next time you’re in town I’d love to buy you a beer and thank you!
Keep Rockin!

This show was the most memorable Rock n Roll concert I've ever been to (I've been to 35 big shows ranging from "Fleetwood Mac" to "Judas Priest", dating back to 1978). I had my elbows on the stage and was directly infront of Lindsey. I was at the Toronto show, 2 months prior, but being this close gave me a special appreciation as to how talented these people are. Lindsey and Stevie are very fan friendly and Super Talents. I could discuss this show at great length but would rather summize it as # 1 on my all-time list. Should anyone out there have a chance to see them on this tour, please do so. Their sound has never been so tight and Stevie's haunting, powerful voice has never sounded better. Enjoy the Show and Cheers from one of Your Canadian Neighbours!!!!!
