Hi everyone. I went to see Tom and Stevie at Nissan in Virginia on Saturday. Had the best time!!! The place was sold out and everyone was pumped to see both performers. No one was disappointed. I have never seen Tom and his band live but they really rocked the joint. He is truly one of the great ones. They even did an old Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac song -- Oh Well.

Seeing Stevie again though was the highlight of my evening. I probably would not have gone if she wasn't going to be there. She looked gorgeous and seemed to be in a great mood really enjoying performing with her old friiends. She's lost weight and was positively radiant, a truly beautufl woman inside and out. The guy sitting next to me almost fell over when I told him she's 58.

This is a defininte must see concert for any Stevie or Tom Petty fans. Well worth the money. I only wish she did more songs with them like maybe doing a duet with Tom on Free Fallin. She recorded that song and it's on her Enchanted box set. Thought they might also have done the song she recorded with him on the Wild Heat album. That might have been a nice extra. But oh well. Was happy to Stevie as always. She is the best!!!

I heard on the net that Stevie is not going to release the Melbourne concert on DVD. Can anyone confirm if this is true. I've seen portions of the concert on You Tube. com and it seemed like a really great performance. I downloaded the audio of first half of the the concert and it's fabulous (especially the intro to Rhainnon. Simply beautiful. It's the essence of Stevie).

Was it worth riding from Pittsburgh to Va to and back the same night? Was it worth the highly priced 2nd row Ebay Ticket I managed to pay an arm and a leg for? ABSOLUTELY!!! Seeing Stevie last night playing with Tom Petty for the 30th Anniversary tour was fantastic. This is actually the first show where I went in with no expectations. Didn't know the setlist, didn't know how long she would be on, for all I knew It could of been one song. The only thing I told myself is that I wanted to hear Stevie and Tom do "Insider" Its a fantastic song and to hear them do it togeather would be worth it all. It was unbelieveable when I was actually able to hear it....and totally made everything worth it. Was somone reading my mind? Looking and sounding great as usual, It was kinda strange to see Stevie as Toms guest...but seemed to be a lot of fans at the venue with Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks T-shirts on, so you know that a good number of the almost sold out crowd were there to see her. Im not going to run though the songs, because they are pretty much run through on the other reviews, but It was nice because it seemed like she was having a Great time onstage and it showed how much she admires Tom Petty. She didn't try to steal the show as she hung out on the side of the band and sang along in the background for a few songs. Even the ending with the walkoff it was kind of funny, because she didn't stand out...It was almost as if she was one of the Heartbreakers. With the tour Last year with Don Henley....and this year with Tom Petty....Its great to see Stevie come togeather with other great musicians and people she admires. I have an idea, how about a Buckingham Nicks Tour with Stevie and Lindsey each doing their solo material....and then playing togeather for a few songs....now theres an idea....... Thanks to Robin for making this a great trip....You can roadtrip with me anytime!!!! It was great catching up with you and hanging out!! If anyone else might be thinking of going to the remaining shows, it would definetly be worth it.

The show last evening in Bristow was awesome. I am a HUGE Tom Petty fan and a HUGE Stevie fan, so this was a dream show. They were both great, of course, they are always great. The songs rocked, Stop Draggin My Heart Sround was great, I was able to see it done live by the by the people who recorded it together, to me that is amazing and awesome. Insider was great, I love that song. I Need to Know was awesome as well, she sang the entire song and he did backup, it sounded great. Stevie was full of energy and really seemed to be enjoying herself. Especially during Don't come around Here No More, she sand backup and was dancing around. I almost didn't make it to the show, the person who was suppose to go with me (ny Dad), who is the only other TP and SN fan I know, couldn't go. He is in the hosp and is pretty sick, but he told me to go without him. He got to listen to some of the show over the phone. Oh, well we both will be seeing Tom in Camden, NJ, too bad Stevie won't be at that show. Anyway, the show rocked and was awesome and amazing. I can't wait to see Him or Her again.

Rock On.

The Nissan show was amazing! It was my first Tom Petty concert and it certainly won’t be my last. I can honestly say it is one of the best concerts I have every seen – and I’ve been going for 30 years! The show was sold out – Tom really “rocked the house” --- it was obvious that he and the band were enjoying themselves and it radiated into the audience. Everyone had a great time. Stevie, as always, was in top form. She gets better each time I see her. Her voice was strong, her duets with Tom were flawless and her beauty was enhanced with her smiles of a good time. It truly was a fun night………and that is what “Good Old Rock and Roll” is all about! We are lucky to have Tom and Stevie keep it alive.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers put on a great show! It was a truly special gift to see Tom and Stevie perform "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" and "I need to Know" . It was unforgettable to see the live performance of "The Insider". Stevie was a gracious, truly special guest star.

Greetings from Northen Virginia! Just back from taking part in a sell out crowd for the Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers show at the Nissan Pavillion in Bristow, VA. You should know first and foremost, this is a Tom Petty & the Heartbreaker's show, not a Tom and Stevie show. TPHB made certain everyone knew it was their show by playing nine (9) songs before introducing the band and then bringing out Stevie. Tom introduced Stevie as "our lil soul sister".

Stevie Contributions, our observations:
Stevie was in excellent voice and appeared to be having a terrific time.

Now for the important stuff:
BootsAgain Yay!
Clothes: 1st outfit: White Skirt , black top, black jacket & BOOTS
Stop Dragging duet with TP
I Need to Know - Stevie solo

Stevie then left the stage and the band played two tunes, including an excellent new TP ballad called "Square One".

Clothes: 2nd outfit: Shawl (white or gold) from Edge of 17
Insider - Duet
Stevie then moved over to the Sharon Celani position at stage left and sang backup backup vocals and played tambourine on Learning to Fly
Don't Come Around Here No More - incredible strobe light effect was used at the end of the song in classic TPHB tradition and , SN went crazy & was really dancing and having a blast.

After four more songs, including two in the encore, Stevie came back in outfit #3 (slacks with rhinestones, awesome!) and sang backup from the center position next to Tom for an abbreviated American Girl. (sound curfews blow!) Stevie wore her black hat with feather for the encore and had a tuff time keeping it on for the final bow. Tom had his arm around the back of Stevie and was kind of knocking it off, she had to hold it on with her hand.

All in all, a great show in it's own right, the Stevie factor was just a huge bonus!

ps - thanks for the home made pizzas which kept us awake long enough to write this review!!!!!
