Petty with Stevie Nicks 2006 - FAN REVIEWS
9/29/06 Greek Theatre
Berkeley, CA
Kaye Culver Forget everything you have ever seen stevie do and get a vision of her twirling around solo on stage with tom and the heartbreakers ,under a strobe light to the guitar solo at the end of dont come around here no more.unbelievable. i appeared to be the only one at the sold out concert who knew she was there, all dressed up in my stevie finest.it was absolutely without a doubt one of the coolest stevie events,i personally have ever attended, and believe me i have been to alot.i did not want to ruin anyones surprise.it was so hard not to tell everyone.,stevie was there.she looks like she stepped out of the pages of a fairy tale.i love stevie solo but i love her even more when she has powerful men behind her.lthe heartbreakers are the perfect band to encompass miss stevie, only second to the mac.i hope she joins tom for more shows and i hope lindsey puts stevie under a strobe light sometime.it was incredible.sincerely, dorothy cole mckenzie and family.
Roxanne Campbell WOW blew my sox off. The two together were a MASTERPIECE. I have to say it was beautiful MUSIC, beautiful MAGIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was my birthday present, going to this show and I had the most incredible, musical journey. I loved every minute and was mesmerized from start to finish. The harmony between the two was hypnotic and brought tears of joy rolling down my cheeks. I danced and danced and sang along, what an incredible experience. Thank you Tom, Thank you Stevie, for one of the most unforgettable Birthday's I have ever had. I have been a long time fan and will continue till the end of time, and then some!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paul Crowell Stevie was of course incredible again last night at the Greek Theatre in Berkely ,Ca. with Tom Petty.Tom himself was so gracious and grateful, I've never seen a performer thank the audience so much after just about every song. And cracking jokes about the fouled up lights, right away he said " Someone must have forgot to pay the electric bill." The lights were gorgeous when they did come up, by the way. But enough about Tom, we all know who I was really there to see.
Our" honorary heartbreaker"(She's been breaking and fixing my heart for years) was her usual hot and breathtaking self, ( I haven't seen her since way back at the Gold Dust Tour so long ago)Mr. Petty introduced her and the crowed just roared. They went right into 'Stop dragging my heart around'. Iv'e seen Stevie perform this one with Sheryl Crow and Waddy before but of course there's nothing like the real thing, They harmonize so well together, Tom really is her perfect male couterpart. Next she tore into 'I need to know', Incredibly energetic as ever, Tom letting her take the lead and performing backup for her.
Stevie came back out for 'Don't come around here no more'. The strobe light show she and Tom went into was surreal and incredible, like a thousand freeze frames of thrashing blonde hair, shawls, lace, and ribboned tambourine, all things Stevie frozen there in midair, a few minutes of sheer ecstasy, if only it were on film.
Stevie was doing her birdlike dancing on 'Learning to Fly', big soaring arm movements like a golden swan and I had to go to leave for work so unfortunately missed her last couple backup numbers. I was an hour late for work but it was well worth it, thankfully my boss is a huge Stevie fan too!
All in all it was incredible to see my Goddess again, Stevie please tour again soon, I so need this special and healing time to make life more livable!
