We'll be launching an entirely new site for Fleetwood Mac on the 15th of
April.  You'll find direct Fan Club entry in the new site and all of
your current links will still work.

We're adding a special Member Only benefit with the new site.  Members
will receive exclusive access to a new Chat board within the Member
site.  (To access the Board you'll need to be a Club Member and
accept/follow the specific Board rules.) There will not be a Chat for
non-members at FleetwoodMac.com.  In addition to the 24/7 Board, we'll
offer you live chats from time-to-time and expect to have members of
Fleetwood Mac (including fascinating people like assistants, technical
people and of course the Band) join us for some of these.

These additions should make for a vibrant, interactive experience!

On Saturday we brought our Club film crew, photographers and sound team
to a special filming of Fleetwood Mac in concert.  This filming was
designed to get promotional footage for the upcoming launch of the
record and concert tour.  We have exclusive footage and stills for Club
Members and should be posting these within a week.  As the tour gets
underway, we plan to bring you constant updates in stills, video and
audio recordings from all the members right from the road!  As soon as
we go up with any of this content, we'll email all of you!

Finally - I just received two copies of the large posters designed to
promote the record in major retail stores.  They are two sided and have
wooden hangers.  We'll draw two random names from our membership on
Monday afternoon and ship these off FREE to the lucky winners!  We plan
on having many more prize sessions like this as we get into the tour and
gain unusual or rare merch!  In fact, I had a meeting with the tour
merch firm and management last Friday and we have all agreed to set
aside specialty prizes just for you - our Members.  We'll also have
discounts on concert merch for you and expect to have some items that
can only be purchased by our membership!

Final note - This coming Thursday and Friday there is a Members-Only
presale for Anaheim and Staples as they are each booked for a second
concert!  More news about that as we get closer.

PRESALES WORK:

WHAT SEATS ARE THERE FOR CLUB MEMBERS?

In most venues we've reserved 600 seats that are in the top 20% of the
floor seating just for club members!  The general public will be able to
get some first row seats at most venues we're working on AND we've been
able to reserve a block of first row seats for Fan Club members too. 
BUT - there are only so many front row seats.  If you get one -
Congrats!  This means many club members should  be able to get good
seats at most venues. Again, once the Club block is taken by Members,
the Members will have the right to purchase seats scheduled to go on
sale for the general public before the public offering begins. (Although
there will be good seats reserved for the general public too.) The
simple fact is that there are fewer Club Members than there are general
public so you compete for seats with fewer people than if you are not a
Member of the Club!

DOES THIS MEAN I'M GUARANTEED A GOOD SEAT?

NO!  There are no guarantees, but you should stand better chances of
getting what you'd like with the Club than without.  There are many
factors regarding grabbing a good seat at Ticketmaster!  See the section
below about this.  Additionally, there is a possibility that the seats
you want are already taken by other Club members or that technical
issues prohibit getting good seats for you.

HOW MANY SEATS CAN I BUY?

You may purchase up to 4 seats per show and up to 20 seats per concert
leg (All the shows in the USA through July) for each Club Member. 
Please don't join the club 2 or 3 times just to get more tickets.

HOW DOES TICKETMASTER ALLOCATE SEATS?

How can you log on at 9:00 am - get a bad selection, then do better in
10 minutes?  The Ticketmaster system lets you select and HOLD the best
in your category for a few minutes while making your sale.  If 400
members come on at 9:00 am and grab a hold for 4 tickets each, that's
1,600 seats in a venue.  At that moment, the 1601st seat shows for you. 
Meanwhile 200 seats get released when the earlier buyers decide they are
too expensive or they only want two or they are too inexpensive!   

The Fan Club offers a block of reserved seats that are great and then
selected general public seats before the GP gets access on the public
sale.
 HOW GOOD your seats are depends on when you sign in and how many others
are fighting for those seats when you are trying to buy.  The Fan Club
value regarding tickets is that you're choosing with a very small group
compared to the public onsale.  While you may not get the seats you
hoped for, the seats you get now should be better than what you would
get if you went to the public onsale. 

WHAT PROBLEMS CAN OCCUR?

In our first presale, there are no big system failures that we know of
but some ticketmaster markets opened before 9:00 am and some closed
early. The size of the systems we're dealing with here is huge.  While
an individual member may be impacted by this the "system" is working. 
If you didn't get what you want - Please try to log in again!  You may
find a new section available that has great seats. The biggest problem
we saw was the incorrect use of passwords by members.  Club Members -
please remember that your Ticket password is CASE SENSITIVE.  If your
password is:

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR WHAT?

The Promoter is Concerts West. They're the best in the business.  They
work with Ticketmaster and Tickets.com who bring the tickets to you. 
These ticketing agencies are responsible for getting you connected with
your tickets.  The Club requests a block of tickets for a presale which
is offered to you through the ticketing agencies with the approval of
the promoter.  

I hope this helps clarify a bit.  There are a limited number of seats.
Presales give you a position that is generally (but not always) better
than fighting the masses at the public sales.

The promoters of the Fleetwood Mac tour have determined that due to the
pending potential conflict in Iraq, the presale scheduled to begin on
3/20 and the associated general public sale due to follow, will be
postponed. 


Carl Stubner, President of Immortal Records Music Division and the
Artist Manager speaking on behalf of Fleetwood Mac, said, “Based on the
current global situation and out of respect for those Americans, and
their families, who are called on to serve their country, we have
decided to postpone the next concert sales period.  We think fans should
not have to choose between watching current events unfold or dealing
with gaining concert seats.  We’ll resume our full ticketing presales
and general sales shortly, probably next week.”

Your Fan Club will keep you posted on the news and will provide at least
48 hour written notice prior to the resumption of presales.

We know some Members weren't able to get the seats they wanted at the
first presale.  We believe we'll have a great second presale next week. 
We've heard loud and clear from Members who didn't get what they wanted
and we're working on what we can do or offer you to make you happy.

BUT WE SEE THOUSANDS OF YOU GOT GOOD SEATS TOO!  We'd like to ask that
if you believe you got value from your Club Membership, got good seats
and/or experienced good Member Services from our team, that you REPLY TO
THIS LETTER and tell us the concert you got the seats for, the seats you
got and what your positive experience was.  This will quickly tell us
how well the club is working for everyone.

Our sincerest apologies for any trouble or stress the Ticket Presale may
have caused you.  We believe the Ticketing Agencies have corrected the
problems which some Members may have experienced today.  

YOU CAN STILL GET ADVANCE TICKETS and things should be easier tomorrow.
This letter explains what caused difficulties today and how we’ve fixed
the problems for you.

We exist as a Fan Club to bring you closer to the artists you love –
Fleetwood Mac.  Please take a moment to read this note, John.  We’ll
tell you how to provide feedback at the end of this letter.  We want to
hear about your experience so we can learn more about how to make the
Club more valuable to you.

THE GOOD NEWS:  As of 6:28 pm PST tonight, there are at least 300 and up
to 2,100 tickets available for you at EACH VENUE except Staples LA.
Furthermore, there are seats in ALL price levels in ALL venues that are
on sale with the exception of Staples in LA.  (Staples has all levels
except the lowest price levels available and we expect to have more of
those open by tomorrow morning. – In fact, I just got on to Ticketmaster
and was offered Row 19 in Section 4 on the floor.)  

Your presale continues until 9:00 pm PST on the 14th and you should have
no trouble getting something you want tonight and tomorrow morning.

THE GLITCHES:  Three things happened beyond our control this morning
that we’ve corrected now.  First, some Ticketmaster cities opened up at
9:00 am LOCAL time instead of 9:00 am PACIFIC time.  This was an honest
mistake. Second, the number of connections caused system delays at
Ticketmaster. This caused lots of our Members to hold tickets ready to
buy at the same time.  New Members signing on therefore saw few or no
choices.  Third, some venues that were supposed to have public blocks
open this morning didn’t have them available immediately, giving the
illusion that they were sold out or only had limited seating.  We’ve
fixed all these problems.

ABOUT THE FUTURE:  We’ll make changes for the next presale which I’m
confident will meet with your approval.  We’ll lighten the big hit on
Ticketmaster by starting future sales at 9:00 am local time.  This
staggers Members.   We’ll verify open seats earlier with Ticketmaster so
the whole block goes up early.  These systems are big and complex. 
Nothing we do can guarantee that everything always runs smoothly.  But
for tonight and tomorrow, you should have a much easier experience at
Ticketmaster and Tickets.com.

The response for tickets from Fan Club members today was simply
overwhelming!  In fact, there was so much activity this morning that
some of you were unable to get on to Ticketmaster or get the seats you
wanted. I’m thrilled to see that many of you have scored exceptional
seats and that you’re happy with your club.  Our concern now is to
provide any of our Members who have experienced problems with a
solution.

As the first of our presales approaches, we want to begin explaining the
process to you.  It's going to take a bit to cover everything, so grab
your favorite beverage while this is printing and get ready feel you're
back in school taking a final exam!  By the way - There's nothing we can
do to make it "simpler".  We're using the ticketing industry's method
here.  Pencils sharpened?  Let’s go!

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO KNOW:  YOUR CLUB USER NAME/LOGIN OF 
xxxxxx IS WHAT YOU WILL ENTER AS YOUR PASSWORD AT
TICKETMASTER/TICKETS.COM to allow you access to the Club Member Only
Presale!  This is a bit tricky! At the CLUB you have BOTH a USER
NAME/LOGIN and a PASSWORD FOR THE CLUB. AT THE PRESALE YOU ONLY WILL
NEED YOUR USER NAME/LOGIN to validate your purchase!

You will purchase tickets for all of the first events to go on sale at
ticketmaster.com EXCEPT FOR THE BUFFALO show which is sold through
tickets.com.  You'll receive direct links from us before Tuesday.  If
you don't use our links you can still join the presale by visiting
www.ticketmaster.com or www.tickets.com and searching for Fleetwood Mac.

All Ticketmaster sales begin at 9:00 am PACIFIC TIME (California time).
We're still working on the beginning time for the Tickets.com sales and
will let you know by Tuesday.

All sales begin on 3/13 and end at 9:00 pm Pacific on 3/14.  THIS IS NOT
TRUE OF THE PUBLIC SALE.  ON 3/13 - EXCLUSIVELY FOR OUR MEMBERS -YOU CAN
BUY ANYTHING GOING ON SALE ON THE 15TH OR THE 17TH!  

IF YOU WANT ANY SHOW ON THE LIST AT THE END OF THIS LETTER, YOU CAN BUY
TICKETS FOR THAT SHOW STARTING AT 9:00 AM PACIFIC TIME ON 3/13!

You pay Ticketmaster or Tickets.com directly via credit card.  You pay
the same price as the general public.  Your Club does not earn anything
from this sale nor do we add any fees!  The transaction is between you
and the ticketing party.  

You may purchase up to 4 seats per show and up to 20 seats per concert
leg for each Club Member.  Please don't join the club 2 or 3 times just
to get more tickets.  However a husband could join and his wife also
join providing the family with up to 8 tickets per show.  We have
scalping software in place to detect large groups of memberships going
to single individuals and the ticket agencies will block multiple
purchases.

You can select the best seats available at the time you begin your
transaction or you can specify a price range and have seats suggested by
the ticketing system.  either way, you'll receive a choice from ALL
SEATS that will be on sale LATER to the public PLUS anything in our
reserved Club block of GREAT SEATS!

Again, our block of seats begins at the VERY FIRST ROW ON THE FLOOR IN
THE BEST SECTION OF EACH HOUSE and continues through the 25-30 row in
most venues.  THESE ARE GOOD SEATS!!!

If you want the best of our block, you'll need to be ready to buy at
9:00 am Pacific time on 3/13.  If you want lower cost seats that are
further back, consider entering the sale after noon on 3/13.

Remember - DO NOT GO TO THE CLUB TO GET TICKETS!  You purchase tickets
directly from the ticketing agencies.  

You will receive at least one Club mailing a day between now and 3/12.
Each will have your USER NAME/Login from now on BUT NOT YOUR CLUB
PASSWORD SO YOU DON'T GET CONFUSED AT THE PRESALE AND ENTER THE WRONG
THING!
