[The Nicks Fix]

Letter from Ginny Kamano

July, 1996

This letter was sent to Amy Thompson in response to a letter sent to the Stevie Nicks Fan Club.
This letter is printed with Amy's permission. Thanks Amy.

Thanks for your recent correspondence!

Stevie is hard at work this summer. Lots of positive changes are in the works for our "First Lady of Song". Several fun things have kept her busy. The most recent one, a free concert which was sponsored by a Tampa/St. Pete radio station in Florida, happened over the weekend of the 4th of July. Stevie sang on the Pier to a crowd of nearly 200,000 people. While she wasn’t too pleased with the sound system the fans were pleased with the live sound of her voice...not to mention the sight of her, arriving and departing on a yacht! A good time was had by all and it was a very special occasion for her and the audience. Hopefully this won’t be the last such summer concert of 1996.

Having recently signed with new management, Stevie is doing some preliminary studio work with a new producer. The completion of this next project will mark 6 solo albums in addition to TimeSpace, her "Best Of" compilation effort. Fall will most likely find her recording in earnest. There is, as always so much material she has written to choose from.

In the future, scheduled for a Fall ‘95 release is BILLBOARD’S #1 ALBUMS. The Lady will have a full page in that publication.

We regret there are presently no photos available. Perhaps when the next disc gets released we’ll have some promotional goodies available. As for a fan club, Christopher Nicks is the only person legally allowed to run one. For reasons best known to him he chooses not to do so. Chris limits his merchandising to tours.

Stevie and I wish you a good, fun-filled and healthy summer.

All the best

Ginny Kamano
