Sheryl Crow, Don Henley, John Mellencamp and Stevie Nicks are among artists tapped to perform at a gala fund-raising dinner in support of the City of Hope medical center and research institute. The Nov. 4 event, to be held at Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport, will honor Billboard magazine president and publisher Howard Lander and editor in chief Timothy White, who will be jointly presented with the Spirit of Life award. During the past 25 years, the music and entertainment industry has raised nearly $30 million for the City of Hope.
