Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac is just starting work on an all-new solo album, which will be her first since 1994's "Street Angel."
The new album is said to be planned for release as early as the end of the year, but that may be a tall order, since Nicks has the three record box set called "Edge Of 17" due out in March and Nicks also plans a tour in support of the box set later this Spring.
Nicks told MTV News last summer that she prefers the stage to the studio any day.
"I wanted to be on the big stage and do the big music," she told us. "I don't prefer to be in the studio. I'd rather be on the road. The studio gets very old after about three months, you know, because for me that's as long as I want to be in a closed up room. And some people are happy in a studio forever."
