The first dates to go on sale for Fleetwood Mac's upcoming tour featuring the Rumours-era lineup of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks have been selling very well. Quick sellouts in several major markets are early indications that a successful tour is on the horizon.

Some had wondered if the tour's high ticket prices would cause it to get lost amid the glut of '70s-era acts on the road. That's proving not to be the case. Great Woods Center near Boston sold out. The Palace of Auburn Hills near Detroit sold out. Second shows are being added in both markets. Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre in Southern California sold out two shows and a third is being added. Several other markets are down to the last few thousand seats before going clean.

Bruce Kapp, head of the tour division at Magicworks Concerts, told POLLSTAR that the tour could have gone either way but the band sounds great, band members are looking good and the songs that made Rumours one of the best selling records in history are definitely holding up 20 years later. With MTV's tie-in concert, the new album on Reprise and the new songs, "everything has just come together," he said.
