top. David Wood I'm still on a high from one of the best nights of my life! This was my first Mac concert, and it was an event I had been looking forward to for a long time. I'm pleased to say it was definitely worth the wait. Everything about this show was amazing. I've seen and heard many recordings of Fleetwood Mac's live performances from the past thirty years, and none of them came close to Saturday night's concert. There was a great mix of young and old in the crowd, eagerly awaiting the Mac's first UK gig in thirteen years (not to mention the first with Lindsey since 1980!). As Mick's drums kicked in for the stomping introduction to The Chain, I knew it was going to be a memorable evening. Every song was performed perfectly... I haven't heard Stevie sound this good in a long time. She didn't miss a note all night, and her performance was strong and confident throughout, (her little dance routine to Say You Will was very cute). I also have to say that she looked better than ever! Her performance was matched all the way by Lindsey's. He had the crowd in the palm of his hand all night, especially with his amazing guitar solo on 'Come', which was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. It's hard to pick favourites from the night... but Landslide, Silver Springs, Big Love and Gold Dust Woman definitely seemed to please the sell out crowd. I was especially pleased that everybody seemed to love 'Stand Back', as Stevie's solo career hasn't really been as big in the UK as it was in the US. What really made the show so special was the amazing interaction between Stevie and Lindsey. They seemed like they were thirty years younger... and were it not for the fact that Lindsey is now happily married, you could quite easily believe they were falling in love again! Hopefully this will be the first of many tours to come. I can't wait to see them again!
