[The Nicks Fix]

June 24, 1998: Nissan Pavillion - Manassas, VA

from Tom Nicholas - Reston, Va.
Stevie Nicks played here tonight and it was one of the best concerts I've seen in my life !

She played all of the favorites gracefully and captured my heart. The crowd went wild after every song and Stevie showed her gratitude of course.

I'm 35 and remembered her from high school and college years and have had seeing her in concert on my "things to do in this life" list for ages. I'm thankful to have had this chance.

If you get the chance to see her definately go for it ! She is elegant, beautiful, and her music will touch you in ways you probably didn't think were possible.

What a treat.. now I have to go get that box set :)

I just got back from seeing Ms. Stevie at the Nissan Pavilion in Manassas Virginia and let me say...she was incredible! This was the first time I got to see her live. She looked great, sounded great and the audience was so into her. I do wish she had sang Leather and Lace and Silver Springs. Edge Of Seventeen was definately the highlight of the evening (although Stand Back was a close second). Loved her faux guitar playing. Come back to Virginia soon!!!

Went to the best show yet of Stevie's tour last night. She was in excellent form, just a very few minor slips in lines by the Queen of Rock. Stevie made mention of her Box Enchanted set and said "Well maybe at 65 I will be singing about another box set." Sounds like she plans on being around for a long time. The stage setting and lights were beautiful. She is enchanting and the light show kept you glued to the stage as you never knew what she would be doing next and if you are a die hard fan you did not want to miss a thing. As she waltzed across the stage she seemed to float with enjoyment and she really really did seem to enjoy performing for her fans. Another highlight was when she strolled across stage after singing Edge of Seventeen she was shaking hands with fans and someone gave her a Purple Princess Diana Beanie Baby. She held it to her left cheek and seemed to really be moved by this gift. As she closed she thanked the audience and said to remember her and she would remember us the fans. This a very emotional goodbye for Stevie and I can only hope she returns to the Tour cercuit after recording her next album.

The concert last night was just as great as previous ones of hers. In fact I thought even better. Stevie's voice was stronger and she seemed so at peace with her life. It only saddens me to think that maybe that is the last time I will get to see her perform live. I enjoyed Boz Scaggs even though I had jokingly said I would not mind being late and missing him because I could not remember any of his hits. Well as soon as started to perform I recognized most of his songs and was glad I had missed him. My personal favorite was Rhiannon because this song inspired the naming of my daughter 21 years ago. I also loved "You never promised me a Rose Garden".

The concert was not sold out. I think that was due to it being a work night and the Nisson had gotten a bad rep from last years Fleetwood Mac Reunion Tour. Some people missed the concert due to traffic problems and have just decided to stay away. Still, the crowd was loud and very receptive to Boz and Stevie. It was a mixture of older adults (like myself) that were around when Stevie first recorded with Fleetwood and young people.

I am ready to go again tonight if I could.

Stevie was definitely at her best this time around. The security staff at Nissan Pavilion was great - They let us stand in front of the stage from the very beginning. It was hard to get a full view of Stevie while standing in front of a 6 ft stage, but I had to sacrifice a little just so I could be in position to shake her hand at the end of The Edge of Seventeen. And yes, I got to shake her hand and my night was complete. Personally, my favorite song of the night was Rhiannon. It has very special meaning to my husband and I. We named our baby daughter Rhiannon and she passed away when she only a day old. So, naturally this is a very special and personal song for us and always brings tears to our eyes. Twisted sounded fantastic. Everytime I hear that song it sounds better and Stevie performed it wonderfully last night. Stevie, you're the best. Thank you for making me smile!

I thought that when I saw Fleetwood Mac at the U.S. Air Arena in Landover, MD on November 30, that I had witnessed the ultimate rock performance by a group of entertainers. But, Stevie's show at the Nissan Pavilion in Manassas, VA last night was one for the ages. She was at her best and had the crowd at a fever pitch from the first note through the end. The crowd was energized by the enthusiasm and feeling she projected in her performance. The audience ranged in age from middle-age to young teenagers, some not even born when Stevie and Fleetwood Mac were creating rock 'n roll history. Still, everyone was consumed and reacting to each moment as if they grew up listening to Stevie. The crowd reached a pinnacle of excitement as they accompanied Stevie in "Landslide", almost drowning her out at times. I definitely got my money's worth last night and I highly recommend this show to anyone who enjoys rock at its finest.

I knew it was going to be a good evening when it took me practically no time to get to Nissan Pavilion (anyone who is familiar with this venue can appreciate that it only took me an hour of driving time from D.C.—and in early rush hour traffic no less). I went in around 7 and walked around—looked at the merchandise, checked out my seat (7th row, to the left of the stage), and did some people watching. There was a wide variety of ages—a lot of thirty- and forty-somethings, but also a lot of twenty-somethings and younger kids with parents. Around 7:30 I went to the side stage and met some people from the Ledge—Keith, Torri, Vianna, and Jes. That was great—it was really nice to be able to put faces with names, and meet other very enthusiastic Stevie fans. We talked for awhile, and then went into the Pavilion around 8 for Boz Skaggs. I only knew his last two songs, but was very impressed with his performance. I completely agree with everyone else who mentioned his terrific back-up singer, and thought Boz sounded good. The crowd, which was still coming in, gave him a nice ovation and he seemed to really mean it when he said he had enjoyed playing for us.

Then the lights came on and they started setting up the stage and I started to get even more excited. I met George, whom I was sitting next to, and Travis, BellaStar, and ma (Marcial). Jes, who was sitting in the first few rows, came up and told me that security had said that they would let people in the first 5 rows stand right up next to the stage once the concert started, and that I should try to get down there. But then the lights dimmed, and Chris Nicks came onstage to read the definition of Enchanted. The stage was just as other people have described, with pink curtains and a stained-glass backdrop that changed from pink to red to white and back during the concert. The band started playing "Outside the Rain" and Stevie came out. She looked beautiful, and was wearing a long black sparkly dress, and a gem on her forehead. I was in heaven and the huge smile on my face was a permanent fixture for the rest of the evening. As everyone else has said, her voice sounded fantastic and she seemed so happy to be there. Initially I thought she seemed a little tired, but she also seemed very peaceful, so possibly it was only the latter. The set list was exactly as described, but some songs really stood out to me. "Enchanted" was one, and the whole band really seemed to be into this. My seat was directly in front of Carlos Rios, and I was very impressed with him the whole evening. When they started to set up for the acoustic set, Jes came up and gave me his friend's ticket so I could get down to the stage. There were 30 people or so (that's a very rough estimate) standing in the area between the first row seats and the stage. It was amazing to be so close to the stage, to be able to see her expressions and those of the rest of the band. She talked about each song, and after this set went right into "Sleeping Angel." At this point I went back and brought BellaStar up front with me. Because I was moving around I only caught the end of "Sleeping Angel" (sniff—it's one of my favorites) but I got chills when she sang "and someday, when we're older…" She got a lot of cheers at the end of this song, and said in a surprised way "Oh, you know that song? It's from Fast Times At Ridgemont High." "Stand Back" was really incredible—it never ceases to amaze me how she can show some much energy during this song. From this point on she really seemed to put her all into every song. "Whole Lotta Trouble" and "Twisted" were both really great ("Twisted," as everyone has said," was very different from the demo and rocked!), and I was struck again at how much fun the musicians seemed to be having. Before "Landslide" she said, "We always have to dedicate this song to someone, and since we don't know anyone here, Frank is going to pick somebody out to dedicate this to," and Frank, her guitarist, walked to the edge of the stage (unfortunately he was on the other side of the stage) picked out someone named Ivy, who Stevie dedicated the song to.

All too soon the bongo solo started, and George managed to join us at the stage. Stevie came out in her white shawl, and started dancing to "Edge of Seventeen." I can't even describe the experience of this song. Many more people came up to the front at this point, but security still wouldn't let everyone up, which I thought was a very silly. A lot of people had flowers, stuffed animals, candles, and letters. In mid-song she walked over the to far left side of the stage and starting shaking people's hands and taking a few gifts as she worked her way across the stage. When she was right in front of me she took my hand, and all I could get out was a "thank you!" She really tried to reach everyone, and stopped at a little girl of about 7 or 8 in a black top hat—the girl passed the hat to Stevie but Stevie passed it back, as if to say "No, I want you to have it." The whole experience, which had seemed somewhat surreal to me until this point, became very real, as did Stevie herself. She was so unbelievable gracious as she crossed the stage, and the feeling that I hear in her songs every day came through tenfold in person. It was very obvious that she treasures these concerts and her fans and that very moment in time, no matter if it happens in 50 cities on 50 different nights. The band took an initial bow, and then came back to sing "I Need to Know" and "Has Anyone Ever…" which were both perfect. I was so sad when it was over but so happy at the same time to have had such an incredible opportunity. I would see her again and again and again, and can't emphasize enough the generous spirit of this amazing woman. From meeting people from the Ledge to shaking her hand, it was all around a wonderful, enchanted evening. Thank you Stevie!!

I was so happy for the woman wearing the Street Angel t-shirt who scored a really great seat at the box office right before the Nissan show. And at face value! Her excitement at her great fortune reminded me of Torri’s and I great fortune last week at Camden ~ yep, there are angels out there looking after us, if we only believe. Tonight, it was this fan’s turn and I knew exactly how she felt. It made me smile..

Waiting for the gates to open, my friend Marilyn and I stood in the shadow of the box office and with much glee I saw Torri coming towards us with her husband Dave, who was such a sweetheart...love is hard to find, but when it happens to someone as special as Torri ~ even the angels are singing...Still waiting for the gates to open, my eyes kept moving towards a familiar face who was holding these 2 red balloons. Yes, he was attractive, but I knew him from somewhere and he must have sensed the same thing as he turned and said, "you look familiar." Well, since he lives only a few blocks from my flat I’m sure our paths have crossed many, many times ~ and I hope I get the chance to talk a little deeper about Stevie sometime as we had just touched the surface. I wonder if he has seen all the demos, bootleg videos. Hmm. My place for some Stevie, coffee, tea...me. If I see him again, will I be singing "Don’t Treat Me Like A Stranger?" ..oops, now where was I?

One of the first things I do is go to my seat when I get inside the venue, just to see where I will be connecting with Ms. Nicks, and that is what we did. Even though it wasn’t fifth row, it was good enough ~ my heart was starting to warm.

Next, our shopping expedition ~ my Boz Skaggs friend ended up buying 2 Stevie t-shirts (she had to have the one with the Stevie drawing~I was impressed). Then, Torri, Dave, Marilyn and I found a picnic table, had some snacks, and watched the crowds go by. Unlike Camden, I saw very few ladies dressed up like Stevie, but I always find a Stevie crowd interesting.

Yep. We were sitting near the unofficial Ledge meeting place and our eyes were searching. Torri said she thought she saw Vianna go by and fortunately our paths would cross very shortly. With a decent band playing on the side stage, we walked over just to see if we could spot some of you. I did notice this girl with long brown hair standing around, but I didn’t think she was tall enough to be Marlene. So we stood, listening, waiting, and then I noticed Vianna. "Are you Vianna," I said. Yep. It sure was and I gave her a hug and introduced her to the gang. We chatted, looked at the tour book, and then the not so tall (I guess in my definition of the word) young lady with the long brown hair that I had spotted previously asked me if I was Keith. It was Marlene! This was great, because I really love meeting other Ledgies. Putting faces to the names ~ we chatted, laughed, and then, Jes appeared! What can I say ~ the Ledgies were meeting...well, still no Travis ~ I guess his tailgate party was in full swing..but the nightbirds were just getting started!

Torri and Dave left for their seats, and my friend and I went to get a beer (to help me get through the Boz set ...even though he was very good). And lo and behold, I spotted Travis. I think I surprised him, because he commented that I looked nothing like my picture! Maybe I don’t look like Phil Collins after all! And Bella Star and George were with him, so we chatted briefly. I must say pictures can be deceiving, because I pictured Travis to be taller than George, but I was wrong. I also loved the Hard Rock Shirt with the Stevie drawing on the back that Travis was wearing as I had never seen it before. And that’s when either George or Travis spotted Chris Nicks walking with some other guy. He did look kind of stressed out or something and when I told my friend that it was Stevie’s brother, she said that he looks nothing like her! She is definitely right about that! It was nice to see her only sibling, though. At least for me it was. I couldn’t even imagine having that kind of connection with her.

Right before Stevie began, Jes came over to me and told me they were letting the first five rows rush the stage right at the start of the show. Let me say Jes, if I didn’t have a guest with me, I would of tried everything to make my way up there with you guys. And thanks for the tip! I truly appreciated it ..as I did try later throughout the show, but that security guard wasn’t nudging.. I then went over to where Torri was sitting to tell her to enjoy the show, and when I did she told me that she had met ma. She motioned to ma and ma came down and we met, ever so briefly, but I am glad we did. I hope you enjoyed the concert, ma...I miss you when you don’t post..

..and now the music..

The set opens with the dark, and heart-wrenching "Outside the Rain.." Her search for the one thing that has alluded her in her life...true love. I connect instantly. She is singing my story. Once Stevie begins, I become totally entranced. My friend reaches over to ask me a question, and I shrug her off. During the break between songs, I had to apologize, but I also had to let her know that when Stevie is singing, I can’t be answering questions. She understood. She let me be..that is why she’s my friend. "...if you find it, then you have won the game.." I think of Torri and Dave and I my heart smiles.. and the music softens and Stevie sings her rock and roll lullaby that she wrote to Lindsey. "Dreams" is simply beautiful. Stevie welcomes everyone and she is in a playful mood and I love it. She tells everyone that tonight is going to be a very different show because its her box set show. And that there our songs that you might not recognize, but they were there. I know she isn’t talking to me, because I will recognize and sing along to all of them. "Enchanted" with its rockabilly feel fits perfect on this hot Virginia summer night. I had kicked off my sandals and was dancing on the cool concrete and loving life. What can I say. "Gold Dust Woman" was not only haunting, but for the first time, I found myself spider fingering with Ms. Nicks. There’s an added intensity to this song when you play the part.. I played it well. "Gold and Braid.." Oh, to be sitting next to Hayley when she does this song live. I can’t help but think of you girl. "Don’t hide behind your hair.." as Stevie playfully grabs hers. This song is simply golden live.. Being 17 rows back, I noticed that the people around me only were getting into the songs they knew, and when "Stop Dragging My Heart Around" began, well they seemed to perk up. And it rocked. And the audience rolled. ..there was also this green and red balloon thing going on throughout the venue. People were simply keeping them afloat in the air, and it was a nice little effect. I knew where the red balloons had come from...and it made me smile.

This very soft and beautiful music begins and plays while the band gets ready for the "acoustic/electric" set. This is where I begin to inch my way down closer to the stairs, where I would find Torri and enjoyed most of the set until shooed away by the security guard who is loving his little bit of power. "After the Glitter Fades" was simply a beautiful country song about Hollywood heartbreak. "Garbo" waltzed directly into my heart ~ I loved when she was talking about this song and she said she wrote it while thinking about Garbo, Marilyn, and you know, that other one.. you know.." She was having fun and I simply loved seeing her that way. Especially after hearing about the Virginia Beach show when she got extremely emotional. "Rose Garden" ~ to this day~ amazes me. She wrote this song at the age of 17, but this is her life at fifty. "You broke my heart.." "Sleeping Angel" defines the word ballad, and while listening to her passionate singing with the soft mandolin playing, I felt her yearning for someone to grow old with...

The venue was mellow, then the drumming began....like the African drummers on Sunday afternoon in Malcolm X park, I felt the rhythm, then the defiant synthesizer that introduces the audience to "Stand Back." It took a few moments for the crowd to identify it, but when they did, the whole venue was on its feet. Stevie appeared, her capes flowing around her, walking to greet Don who was moving towards her with his guitar as his guide. It was sexual, it was hot, it was "Stand Back" ...in the middle of my room, I did not hear from you.." one of my favorite lines that Stevie has ever written in one of her favorite songs she loves to perform. She is the Queen.

I love the way Rhiannon begins. The piano is so simple, yet so haunting. I started getting emotional here ~ and it was mixed emotions. Stevie’s voice came into my world in 1976 through Rhiannon. Hearing her sing her signature song that is just as powerful as the first time I heard it made me realize how this woman touches me. "dreams unwind, love is hard to find.." Stevie understands. She lives her songs.

At the end of this song, she started sharing how she was thinking about not doing any Fleetwood Mac songs on this tour ~ but, her manager called her and told her she had to!! Then, she started talking about spirits, but that there were really only "good" spirits ~ and its not so much what she was saying, but how she was so full of life when sharing. It made me feel warm inside. ‘Whole Lotta Trouble" is a great rock and roll song - no horns need apply in my book! Of course, I was up close ~ even though I was not going to get by the security guy. But, this is where I was suppose to be at this show. I might not have been in the pit, but I was there in spirit. "Landslide" was simply gorgeous ~ even when Stevie seemed to get ahead of the soft guitar that was playing. And when everyone starts singing along, well words just can’t describe the beauty. My favorite part was when she sang "I’m getting older, too" the second time and held up 1 finger at a time until she gets to 5. Nothing else needed to be said.

"Twisted" is such a great rock and roll song. The live version she is doing is simply the best. With Edge approaching, I thought I would be moving to get near the stage ~ but, it wasn’t meant to be. And that was okey. Tonight was for other fans - and I was hoping that Jes, Marlene, Travis, and George made it. "Edge" rocks, but when Stevie goes to greet the fans, I just simply watched. Seeing her adored with so many gifts ~ and I was thankful that no one was throwing things ~ was beautiful. To the person who gave her the purple beanie doll - you could tell she simply loved it. To the person who tried to give Stevie her top hat - she had her reason for not accepting it. In her heart, it meant the world. To the person who gave her the Sara life preserver "drowning in the sea of love.." - well, how she displayed it up to the audience showed how much she was impressed. So, in my little spot right above the pit, I watched the beauty of Stevie and her fans touching and sharing. "..sometimes I am surrounded..by too much love..." It was a highlight for me.

"I Need to Know" rocked the first encore. And then, way too quickly, it was time for the last song. "Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You." After seeing the Camden show and now Nissan, this song has really come full circle for me. It’s her farewell song to us, and she asks us only one thing, "to remember her." But for me, she doesn’t have to ask. I will never forget. The song was over and so was the concert and I turned and there was Torri. I gave her a selfish hug ~ I needed it for myself ~ I hope you didn’t mine Torri.. I just needed a simple touch from a Stevie fan just like me ~ and you were the perfect one. Thank you.

Leaving the venue, I was walking with my friend Marilyn, with my sandals off and my barefeet loving the warm pavement. We said goodbye to Dave and Torri, and went our separate ways. In the stillness of the night, waiting to leave the venue, I knew that once again my heart had been moved by the incredible words and music of Stevie Nicks.

What an awesome night. Although it was hotter/humid than H---, Stevie Nicks performed one of the best show I have ever seen. I have seen her twice before, once with Fleetwood Mac(the last show of the reunion tour in Largo/Landover, MD) I particulary enjoyed the stageand the light show. You can tell a lot of $ and time went into the planning of this tour. My view was great. The friend I was with had to help me with some of the song titles, but here was the line up,....Outside the Rain, Dreams, Enchanted, Gold Dust Woman, Gold and Braid, Stop Draggin' my Heart Around, (the next 3 in acoustic format) After the Glitter Fades, Garbo, Rose Garden, Sleeping Angel, Stand Back, Rhiannon, Whole Lotta Love, Landslide, Twisted, Edge of Seventeen, I Need to Know, Has Anyone Written Anything for You.....I also enjoyed when she walked the stage and accepted her gifts. She got a purple Beanie Baby from a fan and specifically asked for the bodyguard next to her to hold on to it. As always, Stevie's wardrobe was mystical in nature. She looked great. I could tell she is enjoying this tour. She commented several times on how excited she was about the box set and the tour. When she started her acoustic set, she started to explain why she was doing each song. On her explanation of Garbo she kinda stopped the explanation and said...."you'll figure it out". She is the best. She rocks. It was also good to she my age group (28-40) there. We grew up with Stevie.

There is not a lot more that I can say about Stevie's performance at Nissan Pavillon that has not already been said, she is truly AWESOME... This was my first Stevie concert even though I have been a fan for 18 years!!!!!she was right when she said the spirits are with us tonight (the good ones she added!!!)Stevie you are enchanting, thank you for one of the greatest memories of my life.

To steal a line from a friend of mine who witnessed this powerful show with me, "This concert showed us a woman at peace with herself." This was my 23rd Stevie/FM show and our 3rd and final (?) of this tour---but it was the best one by far! Stevie was in a "playful" mood all evening on this muggy night. My friend Rhonda & I travelled 123 miles from PA to see this event--and it was worth every mile! We were fortunate enought to meet some very nice people at this show---that's the good thing about a mid-week concert, it seemed that only the "hardcore" fans turned out. The Pavillion was grossly empty...so empty that they closed the lawn area & moved everyone into seats. But no matter...Stevie treated us to a rare performance! We all know the setlist by now---I'll just point out some of the "spontaneous happenings" from this show. You all remember how much of an issue some were making of the way Stevie & Lindsey used the same lines & same hug/kiss after "Silver Springs" during the FM tour last year? Well solo-Stevie seems to be treating each audience to alot of spontaneous conversation each night. Last night she mentioned "I didn't want to do any Fleetwood Mac songs on this tour and my manager called me up and said PUT THEM BACK IN. So I did and right there was Rhiannon 1998...out there for you." She also started telling us about "Garbo" and forgot who the song was about, so she said (laughing) "Well, you figure it out!" Stevie later told us "I wish I was a multi-millionaire! I'd pack you all up and take you with us on the rest of the tour. But I'm not..so I can't...but I do want you to stay well so we can do this again sometime. Wasn't this fun?" She also was DEEPLY moved by a fan's gift of a Princess-Di Beanie Baby which she received in her march along the stage-edge. She handed it to a stage-hand who was helping her put all of her gifts behind her so other stage-hands could take them nackstage. She explained what it was to him & seemed to be telling him not to lose it & to put it somewhere where she could be sure to get it. (He stayed by the edge of the stage and after trying to find someone who he could turn it over to, ended up taking it back to her dressing room himself) I'll also give credit to the fans of Manassas for not hitting Stevie with flowers & glow-sticks and not jumping on stage as the crowd in Camden did last Friday night...it visibly scared her near the end of her show. Now as the tour heads south and west, we wish Stevie and the lucky fans who have yet to see her all the best. Thanks again for spending your night with us, Stevie!

FANTASTIC SHOW!!! Stevie was in PRIME form, she looked great, sounded great, and was full of energy!! The crowd was outstanding -- very receptive, if even a bit rowdy. Stevie seemed to be incredibly happy, which of course, makes US happy! I went with my best girlfriend of many moons and many suns -- we have both been "Stevie Heads" for well over15 years, and this was our FIRST time seeing her together! What a blast! We just kept looking at each other and screaming! There was just nothing like it! Stevie kept us on our toes... nothing of the 'expected' set -- she continued to throw out songs that, in all my many years of collecting the rarities, I have NEVER heard live. The stage was great (if that was what one was watching) but if I can tell you that the most important thing: SHE SOUNDED FABULOUS! The One Who Sings At Night had us all screaming for more.... no matter that it was 1,000 degrees, no matter that the lawn was closed, no one cared about anything, except that she DID NOT STOP! And she didn't. An 18 song set! We were dancing.... and dancing... even to Garbo and Sleeping Angel. The T-Shirts were really great! The best photos from the box set --the first inside page with the Blue Lamp photo--were on two of them, and one shirt was the picture on the first CD.... my favorite shirt though, is the one of the (what I assume is a) self poitrait. Its a picture of Stevie --painted by Stevie, making it that much more special to me-- in a blue dress with her arms ourstretched and her head looking downward -- like she did during Edge of Seventeen on the Bella Donna tour ...with a heart, and a tear, and beautiful flowing colours all around her... anyway, they had it only in Nightgown sizes, but who cares!!! It's beautiful. The programs were okay.. calendars for 1999. I would have liked to have seen more photos. But I got one anyway. Heather made me! (Thanks Heather! I will never regret NOT doing it!)

So, I would like to run down the set lists for you... but I'm afraid that the order will be rearranged due to my/our excitement (I did not take the time to write as she went along... that's for the press, not entranced fans!) -- but at the end of the show, as Heather and I were looking for our long lost car (that we finally found) we recalled everything. So, please excuse us. Her presence is shocking, and can bring one to tears for the very reality that she IS a reality ('really real'), and not just an enchantment coming through the living room speakers weaving Magick into your soul.... She played three sets. Here is the song list (not necessarily in this order): Outside the Rain/Dreams --Enchanted--Gold and Braid--Garbo--Gold Dust Woman---Sleeping Angel--Rose Garden--After the Glitter Fades--Stop Draggin' My Heart Around--Whole Lotta Trouble--Stand Back--Rhiannon--Twisted (great stormy intro)--Landslide--Edge of Seventeen (percussion intro like we usually get for Stand Back... very nice)-- --encores--I Need To Know--Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You (the BEST I have ever heard it!!!!!)

Stevie mentioned how much fun she was having, because she realized that this (MIGHT) be the last time for her to do this sort of thing... all these years of songs... and she loved just doing the ones she wanted to do. Stevie was very talkative, and did add a lot of great spontaneous lyrics to many of her songs. I just can't get over how fantastic she sounded. This woman has rocked my world through many phases of my life, and has given me a certain strength and inspiration..I know all of you probably feel the same way. How wonderful!!! There is a bit of Stevie Nicks in every Woman that I know... She is truly an aspect of the Goddess, no matter what anyone has ever said to me...and carries a part of Faery with her everywhere she goes, and then gives that to US. How lucky we are. This woman is amazing...the MOST amazing. "Once in a Million Years a Lady like Her Rises.... "

My husband gave me 5th row tickets for the Nissan Pavillion show on June 24 th as my birthday present. I was in awe to be that close to one of our most favorite people in the world. Then, I died and went to heaven when we both got to go back stage and actually meet the Stevie Nicks. I have always admired her talent, her beauty, her everything... But, the experience we had to actually see her face to face and talk to her and shake her hand is inexplicable! I can die a happy person. :-} We can't wait to see her in concert again. GO!! You'll love it!

After reading everyone else's review I feel the need to write a good one. I hope this one turns out better than my last one of the Camden show. Here goes -

*****Tuesday, June 23, 1998*****

It is the evening time, around 8:00 p.m. George shows up at my house and we are waiting for Laura's (BellaStar) call to let us know she is close to my house. Laura is my friend, the one I went up to Delaware to meet and go with to the Camden show. Anyway, our plan was for the 3 of us to hang out and catch up, since Laura and George haven't seen each other since 1996 in St. Petersburg, FL when Stevie did a free show there on the 4th of July. So we get the call and we go down the road a little bit to La Plata to meet Laura in the CVS parking lot. She was already there. I needed to run in Safeway real quick and that time Laura and George were saying their hello's. I came out then we headed to Papa John's to pick up our pizza's that I had already ordered before we left the house. We headed back to my place where were made our way to the basement and began to enjoy our pizza. We watched the MTV Sandra Bernhard interview with Stevie again since Laura had not seen it. We then watched the 1983 US festival where Stevie did a whole concert. This is a pro shot and is definately worth seeking. Laura had not seen this either and it was a real treat for her. All three of us were just having a nice time being with each other, watching Stevie and and giggling up a storm. Stevie really is funny alot in this concert. Laura always cries when Stevie gets really emotional in her shows. A gentle soul Laura is :-) So after a few hours George headed home and I thought Laura and I were headed for bed but we couldn't escape the internet. We're addicted - Help! We got to bed around 4:00 a.m.

*****Wednesday, June 24, 1998 - The Concert*****

Laura got up around 9:00 a.m. and I got up about an hour later. We just pretty much took it easy for the first hour then I started to prepare for this evening. I vacuumed my car and was collecting my items that I did not want to forget for the show, tickets, camera, etc... I had put in Red Rocks just so we could have some Stevie in the house. Beauty and the Beast came on and Laura was headed for the tissue box again :-). To make this long story shorter for all reading this, George showed up around 3:00 p.m. He would have been here sooner if he hadn't locked his keys in the trunk. Poor thing! :-). We were also meeting my friend Carol and her son in Camp Springs so that they could follow us the Nissan Pavilion. We meet them around 4:30 and were headed for the venue. We're on the beltway and everything was fine for the most part except when I nearly missed the 66 exit nearly causing Carol to get in a wreck. She was determinded not to let anyone inbetween us since she didn't want to loose me. Sorry Carol for the near death accident! :-). So we get the the venue way early and we parked. The tailgate party begins. A couple next to us were playing the Buckingham/Nicks tape so we couldn't play any of our tapes yet, which was fine. Their system sounded nice. After Buckingham/Nicks was over George had put in a live tape he made. He has a mixer and the tape sounded like it was one complete show but in fact it is various songs from various tours. A cool tape. Carol and her son eventually went in and the 3 of us, George, Laura and myself were just enjoying ourselves having a few drinks and listening to Stevie. Laura ran into some friends she knew and they came over for a little while. I had thought about meeting my fellow Ledgies at 7:00 but I didn't want to leave Laura and George. I was just hoping that I would run into them. I had taken up the last few pictures that were in my piece of sh*t camera so I could put in a new roll just in case I was able to get pics of Stevie. I don't know how to work a camera at all. I couldn't get the film rewound with opening up the back. So I did that and then George told me that the film was runined since I had exposed the film. I didn't know anything about that. I'm clueless sometimes. I had no idea that you couldn't do that, but that was the only way it was working. So between the 3 of us we eventually got the new roll in. Laura could not sneak the camera down her dress this time so I had to stick it down my pants. Later I would find out that Keith thought is was something else :-) Just kidding. So into the venue we go.

I get thru fine. We walk around a bit while looking at all the people. So at this time, I see a guy looking over at me saying (I think) "Travis, are you Travis?". He came up and said he was Keith. Yes Keith, you did surprise me a little bit. From the two photos you posted and seeing you last night, all 3 looked differnt to me. If you don't mind the compliment I thought you looked better in person. That's a good thing right? :-) So I gave Keith a hug then Keith introduced himself to George and Laura and vice versa. We chatted briefly before we heaed to see where our seats would be. I ran back to Keith to tell him that if he ran into the other Ledgies again to please let them know I'm here and let them know what I'm wearing so they could find me. I really wanted to meet my fellow Ledgies. So we checked out the seats. We had a great view. Orch. 3, Row N, seats 13 and 14. We made our way to one of the merchandise booths. I still haven't bought any shirts yet. I have such a hard time making up my mind. I want to get a medium size but I don't want it to shrink on me. Then I worry that a large will be too big. I don't like wearing things that are too baggy. I think I'm gonna end up getting 3 shirts at Friday's show. So shortly after Boz is finished playing we head to our seats. I went to where George was so I could meet Marlene. I met Marlene and was a very nice person she is. Then everything happend so fast after that. Marlene pointed out Vianna to me and I went to say hello. Vianna you are so sweet. I may take you up on your offer to scan some photos. While I was talking to Vianna, a woman was standing next to me. I'm thinking who is this and what does she want. "Hi I'm Torri" Wow, everyone is coming from out of the blue so fast. Torri is cool. Then Keith rushes by and tapes me on the should I think and waves. I don't even remember what Torri and I said. Within a matter of minutes I had met 3 ledgies while another one swings by. It all happned so fast. So Laura and I head to our seats.

The lights dim and out comes Christopher. We all know the routine by now. He reads the Enchanted defination and introduces his sister. "It's only a dream, it's only a dream". No, it is really happening. Stevie takes the stage and the audience gives a thunderous applause. I could really tell a difference between the Camden crowd as opposed to the Nissan crowd when Stevie walked out. Nissan just seemed to love her. Not that Camden didn't, it is just what I observed. The first part of the show was a little distracting for me because I was worried about taking pics and getting caught. I took a few shots. I then noticed a girl who was at the Camden show who was taking pics left and right. Security didn't seem to care at all. I hope Raleigh is like this. It wasn't until Garbo was played that I told myself to relax and just enjoy the show. After a few more songs, Laura and I were able to move up a few rows to where George and Marlene were sitting since no one was next to them. Then Marlene dissapeared for a while. Later she came back to me trying to explain that she had this extra ticket and that someone could go up with her but I wasn't totally following her because so much was going on. I guess the fact that I'm a ditz sometimes played into that too. Marlene looked a little frustrated when I wasn't following what she was saying. Sorry Marlene :-(. She later came back again and I understood her this time and I grabbed Laura and said, "Go with Marlene". I figured since George and I have 4th row Friday that Laura should get to go up close. George and I had taken a few more shots and we also moved up a few more rows. Then the next thing I know is, this guy comes up to me and says, "Follow me". I'm thinking HUH? So I just did it not knowing if it was some undercover security guard who was gonna take my film. But no, it was Jes from the ledge. Somehow I got Jes mixed up with anothe ledgie. Justin I think. I was thinking that Jes was 18 but the persom I met looked a tiny bit older than 18 :-) Jes gave George and I two tickets to get up close. I told him that I didn't want to take his tickets but he said it was alright. Bless you Jes! We walked back down the isle but the guard wasn't letting us thru even with the tickets. Then George and I each walked different ways to get the the stage. I got in my 4th row seat that Jes had given me. I took a few more shots of Stevie since no one seemed to care. But then I thought about Stevie and I was wondering if this is something she really doesn't like. I did feel bad at one point but I was still taking them. To be that close just seemed like the perfect opportunity. So as Stevie is making her way across the stage, I'm taking pics. She is getting closer and is pretty much in my face. Here I am taking more pics. And more and more. Ok, done. I think I had taken enough good pictues of her. I know I'm not really saying alot on the music but so much else was happening. After the encores I made my was over to the left side of the stage to find Laura and George. After many attempts George was finally able to get the towel that Don Boyett threw to him. The towel didn't reach George at first but later a roadie kicked it to him. Ok, ok the show is over and everyone is talking about it. Everyone seemed to have had a great time. My arms are so tired right now. How much have I typed anyway?

So after we the show we headed to the merchandise booth once more. George and Carol ended up buying shirts. We were the last ones in the venue it seemed. We couldn't make up our minds what to buy. So we are back at our cars waiting for the traffic to die down. It wasn't nearly as bad as last year Mac show was. I saw the girl from Camden again, the one who was taking photos. She was riding around on a motorcycle with a guy friend. We stopped her and chatted with her for a while. She was cool. So the trunk is open, we are all just relaxing and still waiting for the traffic to clear before we head out. The plan was to have Carol follow us back out so we could get her home ok. Well, all of a sudden Laura is getting excited. Here come the tours buses. We had warned Carol that we may end up following the buses since we didn't have to work tomorrow. So we get in the car and take off hoping to follow the buses. We were so excited that we left the trunk open while driving. At the stop sign someone got out of their car and closed our trunk. We think it was Carol's son - LOL (laugh out loud). We were craking up over it. The tour buses were heading south so we figured that they were not going to be staying anywhere soon. We figured they were going straight to Raleigh since that was the next show. So we turned around and headed home. We listened to a radio show that had been broadcasted in 1989. It was one of Stevie's Other Side Of the Mirror shows. We finally got home around 2:00 a.m. All of us are tired. Poor George had another 20 minutes to drive home from my house. Ok, I'm gonna get to today.

*****Thursday, June 25, 1998 - The day after*****

Laura and I sleep in until around 11:00 a.m. We got up checked the Ledge for a little bit. We were moving slow today. I told my Father to rewind the film in the camera since I had a hard time doing the other roll. Well, he couldn't do it either. I may have put in the film wrong but he too did say what a piece of sh*t camea it is. But it has taken us some good pics before so I should be grateful. The same thing happened, we couldn't rewind the film without opening the back. We did it in the kitched with the lights out hoping it the film wouldn't be that exposed. So Laura and I get ready and we head for the mall in Waldorf. We drop off the film at Ritz and then we have lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. The hour is up and we head back to Ritz with our fingers crossed. Well the first roll was totally blank, the one I had used before the show. But the other roll that I took of Stevie did come out but not without problems. I don't know how to explain it to you all but the scanner at Ritz wasn't able to scan them so they directed me to CPI downstaris in the mall. They were able to scan them but the colour is not exactly right. But the pics still did come out. They are good except for the colour. I'm having them developed anyway. I will let you know how the rest turned out. After we drop of the negative at CPI Laura and I walk out and this is where we say our goodbye's. Laura started to cry. I give her a hug. I know the feeling of when a great experience is over. We all get a little sad at times. I told her not to worry and that there are always good times to come. So I get her out of the mall parking lot and she heads home to Delaware. I go home and get ready for tomorrow. It is now 11:27 p.m. and I'm dead tired. Off to bed I go and Raleigh, NC tomorrow with George. Wish us a safe trip. See you all on the Lege soon.

It was great meeting all my fellow Ledgies. I hope we can do it again someday.

Drove down to VA to see Stevie perform. Have been a fan since I was old enough to listen to music. My cousin Jess (her first concert ever, Stevie--yes!!) and I thought it would be great to get our Mom's tickets to see Stevie for Mother's day. Our houses were always filled with Stevie and FM, and still are, even as Jess and I are now in our 20s. For two weeks straight, we literally passed and played the 3-CD set among the four of us to get ready!!! After seeing Stevie 20-odd times solo and with FM, I have to say this was the most different, elegant concert I have ever seen. It was sheer beauty. Also in a way, I felt this concert to be very intimate, as Stevie gave us the gift of the songs she particularly loves. Our mom's had a great time and it was wonderful as a family to enjoy Stevie's energy and fantastic music. My aunt, Jess's mom, was going nuts to hear "Beauty and the Beast" (which we informed her, thanks to the Nicks fix, would not be heard), however Has Anyone Written...pleased her greatly, although I do have to admit that hearing her sing Beauty... several years ago in concert was one of the greatest spine-chingling times of my life. It was great to hear songs like Rose Garden and Sleeping Angel performed live. These are, to me, excellent Stevie songs, and often these are the ones I listen to more than the rocking tunes. Jess loved hearing the classics like Rhiannon and Dreams. My mother kept singing "I hear the call of a nightbird" (from her favorite tune) the whole way home. "And now you're gone (Stevie)...and I'm alone, and I'm so lonely..." It was a concert I will treasure all my life.

My experience at the Stevie Nicks concert was one I will not forget. Despite the ninety-some degree weather, it was very exciting. This was my first time seeing Stevie on her own (I went to the Dance concert with on Fleetwood Mac), and being only fourteen, I felt young among the twenty and thirty year olds. I was fortunate enough (at least I think so) to have sat in the twelfth row, so I had an incredible view. The stage looked like the video for "Gypsy"-pink and cream colored draping hung from the top, and ivy held some drapes back to make an almost curtain like effect. In the background, there was something that almost looked like an enormous oriental fan. There were two big screens at the right and left sides, so if you ever got sick of craning your neck to see above the dancing people, you could see her. Stevie herself looked great-she looked thin and about twenty years younger than any fifty year old I've ever seen. She was very funny and incredibly nice to the audience. Before she played "Landslide", she said she had to dedicate the song to someone everytime she sang it, so she got the guitar player to find someone in the audience to dedicate it to. During "Edge of Seventeen", she collected flowers and gifts from the audience. She talked a lot about her songs, how or when she wrote them, and a little about the meaning of them. I think the thing I found most interesting was all of the women that dressed like her. I have nothing against them, I was just amazed how similar the outfits looked to Stevie Nicks' outfits. I think I even saw a man dressed as Lindsey Buckingham!! (The cowboy hat and everything...) To sum the concert up with one word, well, that would be impossible, but I had A LOT of fun and I hope to see her again.

The best concert i have ever been to was stevie's in manassas va. I have wanted to see her sice i was a little girl. I was very impressed with her, and i am a fan for life. The whole stage presence was euphoric, and i will never forget that I was front row and less than 10 feet away from the queen of rock n roll

One word: Enchanted.

I must tell you, I've worshipped this woman since the 3rd grade when I'd run home from school to put on "Gold Dust Woman" and get chills! To see her and only her LIVE was truly amazing! It was great to hear her own songs minus the Mac and when she played old hidden treasures like "I Need To Know", "Sleeping Angel", and the most intimate part of the show, the 3-song acoustic set of songs she said were a large part of "who I am"...."After the Glitter Fades", "Garbo" and "Rose Garden".... I was about 50 rows back next to the huge screen on the right side of the venue and mainly the crowd was very laid-back...I mean LAZY! For a few of us die-hard fans..like the lady next to me in her black suede platform boots...all the while we're dancing and screaming and crying many others were sitting like they were watching "Seinfeld"...whatever. Even at one point in the show, my friend looked at me and said, "people behind you want to know if you can sit down." My reply, "No way." So, whoever you are sorry you had to suffer from my big behind in your face but this was a chance in a lifetime to see this woman who I adore and there's no way I would sit through it.

Anyway, she was so sweet and I felt at home with her presence. I cried 3x and I believe she loved the crowd as much as we loved her. And she is hilarious!

"A fan's dream"

My Stevie night actually began the night before the concert with a little pre-concert get together with Travis and Laura ("she probably goes under another name..."). I hadn't seen Laura since Stevie's Tampa concert on 7/04/96. Laura lives in Delaware and came down to attend the Manasses, VA concert with Travis and myself. We got a couple of pizzas and watched the video of Stevie's 1983 concert at the US Festival. Afterwards, we all had fun going through my shoebox full of Stevie pictures. (And remember, I have big feet so it was a big box.) We also enjoyed my pictures from the 1992 Fleetwood Mac convention in Texas, which we all attended. It brought back a lot of great memories ("Idle nights with melodies and photographs...") On the day of the concert, I was trying to decide on what to wear. I had intended on wearing, a t-shirt I had made in 1991. It is the picture sleeve of Stevie's Japan import single for "Talk To Me." It's one of my favorite pictures, but my friends said decale t-shirts are out. They also veto'd my "CD" t-shirt. Travis informed me that he was wearing the Hard Rock Cafe t-shirt with the Rhiannon painting on it, and that I was not to copy him. So, I said "how about your air-brushed Stevie t-shirt?" It's a beautiful painting of the OSOTM album inner sleeve. Well, he said "no" to that too. He didn't want it to be washed anymore. So, after deciding not to wear any of my old concert t-shirts, I decided to wear all black. Arriving at Travis', we had a cocktail before our departure. Laura makes great pina colodas. We packed a cooler and were on our way.

We met up with two other Stevie-friends, Carol and her fourteen year old son, Matt. (It's great to see young fans. He was almost as excited as I was.) They followed behind us to the pavilion. We arrived at the pavilion around 5:30. We had our own little "tail-gate party." Our neighboring car, cranked "Buckingham Nicks." We had a few drinks and watched as other early concert-goers arrived. One little concert-goer really caught my eye. She was wearing a black dress complete with a top-hat and scarf and carried a little tambourine. I poped in my Stevie "live mix" tape. We talked to lots of people. I met "Ro and Bear." I met Amanda and her crew. Amanda looked fabulous in her Stevie finery. I saw my Stevie friends, Jenny and Nikki, and waved to them from across the parking lot. At 7:30, we decided to go into the pavilion entrance. Travis was nervous entering since he had a camera hidden down his shorts. Entering the gate, we obtained our best buy coupons for the promotional CD. We made our way around to the pavilion area. Some-one told a Christopher Nicks joke that had us laughing in unison. Our fellow computer friend, Keith recognized Travis and came up to us to say hello. He introduced us to his friend, Marilyn.

As we were talking, I recognized Christopher Nicks walking toward us. He got in the lemonaide line and afterward appeared to be watching the pavilion staff sell his Stevie merchandise. Boz Scaggs was already on stage at this point. We were too ancy to sit down and watch his set, but we did decide to check out our seats. I was sitting with another computer friend, Marlene, whom I had mailed a ticket to. My seat was 7th row on the left side of the stage. I liked my seat as I prefer a side view over a center view. Travis and Laura were in the same section four rows behind us. Upon entering the orchestra, I looked down the row and saw someone looking at me. I said, "Marlene?" She said yes and we introduced ourselves and commented on how great our seats were. I went back out of the pavilion to catch up with the crew I came with. We ate and eyed the Stevie merchandise. I saw an old acquaintence from D.C. and waved hello. About fifteen minutes after Boz's set, we went back into the pavilion. Marlene pointed out Vianna, sitting some rows behind us. So I went to say hello. Torri and Jes, both computer pen-pals were also standing by. We quickly shook hands as the usher told us to please take our seats as the show would be starting in one minute. The stage looked great. There were hanging drapes and in the background, a huge circuliar, stainglass window with plastic roses all around the edge. Roses were also layed out around the drum set. The Enchanted logo was on the drum face. Blowing fans were set up to keep the players cool.

The lights dimed and Christopher Nicks, who changed his clothes from the shorts and t-shirt he had been wearing, walked onto the stage. Speaking into Stevie's microphone and wearing reading glasses, he read the definition of Enchanted from the dictionary. I can't remember the exact words he said, but he did say like "to bring to tears." Then the ever so fimiliar sounds of "OUTSIDE THE RAIN" began. After a brief hug with Christopher on the side of the stage, Stevie emerged holding flowers. She walked the edge of the stage to the center to someone who was holding what appeared to be a picture of some kind. Stevie gave him the flowers, but just left the picture right there on the edge of the stage. She looked great. I'm always "enchanted" by her appearance and usually have to pinch myself that this is actually happening. Stevie ended "Outside The Rain" with the line "...when you find it, you have won the game, baby" It was very cool the way she said "baby." She did not take her usual stroll that she usually does following this song. Instead, she faced Don Boyette and swayed to the music with her shawl wrapped around her. 'DREAMS" was next. It's my favorite song and is always a crowd pleaser. There were a few big green balloons floating around the audience.

One went on stage and Stevie batted it back into the audience. Unfortunately, I felt there was a little too much movement going on in my section and that often distracted me for a moment as pavilion security checked tickets. The pavilion security were basically young males probably on summer vacation from school. It appeared to be pretty easy to get one over on them. Stevie rocked during "ENCHANTED."

This is a great concert song. I don't know why it wasn't used more often during tours. She grabbed her white tambourine, as well as everyone did in the area in front of the stage. It was all flowers and tambourines. I noticed immediately in the front row the little girl I had seen earlier on someone's shoulder's playing her tambourine. For "GOLD DUST WOMAN," Stevie went to the side of the stage and put on another shawl.

While singing this, she made a little fumble on the lyrics. I leaned over to Marlene and said "that was a f***-up." "GOLD AND BRAID" was next. This was another rocker and another of my favorites to hear in concert. Marlene and I had been dancing up a storm ever since Stevie stepped foot on stage. Right beside me I noticed two empty seats, so I turned around and motioned to Travis and Laura to move up with us. They joined us and Stevie introduced the next song as a song that "Tom Petty wrote about me, 'STOP DRAGGIN' MY HEART AROUND.'" The very blond Frank Sinnes provided the male vocals for this and did a very good job. Stevie introduced him after the song. Stevie announced that this tour was for the "Enchanted" boxed set and that there "may be some songs that you aren't fimiliar with...maybe you were sleeping. There may be a message for you in here somewhere." Stevie introduced this part of the concert as her "triology" and said she'd be back in a minute. The band gathered around in a circle on stage sitting on stools. The girls stood. Sharon and Mindy stood on either side of Stevie singing into their own microphones.

The acoustic set began with "AFTER THE GLITTER FADES," followed by "GARBO." Stevie spoke about the song being about "Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe... and the other girl." (She couldn't remember her name.) "and me." "ROSE GARDEN" followed. She introduced the song as "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden." Then she corrected herself by saying, "You Never Promised Me A Rose Garden." At the end of this song while the music was still playing, Stevie sung a line from "Storms" - "Every night he will break your heart. I should have know from the first, I'd be the brokenhearted." That was really cool. Don Boyette appeared to have some technical difficulty. I noticed him motion a stagehand and talked to him while they played "Rose Garden." "SLEEPING ANGEL" was next. I believe this song got the loudest applause. Stevie said, "You remembered it...Fast Times At Ridgemont High." "Sleeping Angel" was absolutely beautiful. In fact, all the songs were incredible and I remember telling Travis this is the best song set and how beautiful it was and that I hoped this would be filmed for video release. I did notice the pavilion staffer who was working the video camera for the big screen. I meant to ask him if he was taping it, but I never got around to it. 'STAND BACK" was next. It had a great intro which got everyone on their feet. An usher came walking down the eisle from the back with a big white bear and placed it on the stage. "RHIANNON" ruled and was another crowd favorite. "WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE" featured Stevie doing some of her famous high kicks. "LANDSLIDE" followed. At the beginning of "Landslide," Stevie and Frank walked out on stage together. Frank gave his guitar to Stevie to hold (which was really funny to see) while he went to the edge of the stage. Frank got down on his hands and knees to find out the name of the little girl who I mentioned earlier. After Frank took his guitar back, Stevie announced "This song is dedicated to Ivy." Then she said "What a beautiful name." It was great hearing the audience sing along to this. I also saw a male couple a few rows in front of me embrace and thought that was sweet. "TWISTED" was next and it was absolutely incredible. The window in the back of the stage began to change color. Firece winds and rain could be heard through the soundsystem. A light fog began to fill the stage. This really wasn't one of my favorite songs before the concert, but it is now. I remember Stevie saying the line "In this game that you play with god..." but she didn't say "you've been warned to retreat," as she does in the demo version. "EDGE OF SEVENTEEN" was up next. Travis said that at the NJ concert everyone ran to the stage.

Well, not many moved, but Jes at this time came over to us to offer his front row tickets to join Marlene and laura already at the front of the stage. Well, with the tickets in hand, we went forward but the pavilion security stopped us and said "that's not where you were sitting." So I ran around the orchestra to another guy and flashed him my ticket. I went right to the front of the stage with Laura, just left of Stevie's mic. My hands were on the stage and I was excited. I was looking right at Sharon when she joined Stevie at her mic to sing her part. I wanted to wave to her but she never looked towards the audience. I met Sharon last November and thought she might remember me from my very memorable friends. But after she sang her line, she adjusted her volume monitor and went back to her own mic. Stevie started singing "I know what it sounds like when doves cry." Then she walked to the left of the stage to meet her audience. I was really excited because I knew she was going to shake my hands. I wished I had brought her some flowers. I held my hands up high. being really tall has it's advantages. Stevie grabbed one of my outstretched hands with both of her hands. It was a thrill. I looked over to my friends, Laura, Marlene and Jes, whose hands Stevie also shook. We will all knocked out by the whole experience. Stevie moved on down the stage. Ivy, the little girl had her arms reaching out to the stage. I thought Stevie was going to pick her up, but she didn't. The little girl took her hat off and offered it to Stevie, but Stevie told her to keep it. Besides receiving many flowers, I also someone give her a beanie baby, and another give her a round life preserver - like you would find on a boat. It had "Sara" written on it four times. "I NEED TO KNOW" was the first encore. It's another of my favorite concert songs. Laura and I were standing right in front of Carlos' mic. We yelled his name and he came over and said "Are you ready?" Of course, we yelled, "Yes!" During this song Don Boyette looked right up at me. I gave him a "thumbs up" and he smiled. The band went off again and then came back for the final encore, "HAS ANYONE EVER WRITTEN ANYTHING FOR YOU." This was the best song of the night. It was really a highlight for me. I connected with this song in ways that I hadn't before. Stevie said "And sometimes they ask her about the men in her life...And they do now ask her about the men in her life..." I looked at Laura who was tearing up. We just smiled. Don Boyette and I had eye contact again. This time he gave me a "tumbs up." After the song, Don had a towel in his hands. He bundled it up and threw it right at me. However, it didn't quite make it and it was just out of my reach. He acted like he was going to get it, but the band lined up for their final bow. He looked at me with a "sorry" look and kind of shrugged his shoulders. Then Stevie went to him and hugged him and they all went off the stage. So for the next five minutes I had to beg at least ten crew members to push the towel over to me a little further. They weren't paying me any mind. One young male did answer me saying, "I can't." But someone finally did give it to me. Frank Sinnes tossed his guitar pick to young Matt before exiting the stage. We were all still standing around talking when security finally cleared us out.

We went to the Stevie merchandise booth. I bought the t-shirt with the picture of Stevie pointing. I also got two keychains and two buttons. The tourboks were sold out, but that was okay because I knew I was attending the Raleigh show on June 26. They also had an "enchanted" teddy bear, magnet and post cards for sale. As well as many other great t-shirts. We headed to our car and I ran into more friends, DJ Michele Miruski and Stacey. While waiting for the traffic to clear out, we met some friends Travis had befriended at the NJ show. We met Tony and Kelly, who had a zoom lens camera and promised us some great pictures. Travis took some pictures of her truck which had "Stevie Nicks" written on the back cabin window. It was after midnight, and the parking lot nearly empty, we were still chatting when all of a sudden Stevie's tour buses start coming down the road. Everyone ran to their cars to follow the buses to see where they were headed. We were so excited, we didn't even realize our car trunk was still open. Friends behind us got out and closed it. The buses headed South (the opposite direction that we came.) We followed for about twenty minutes, but decided to turn back. Even though Travis and I had tickets for Raleigh, our friends didn't had were scheduled to work tomorrow. A great time was had by everyone. Stevie was in a great mood and she looked and sounded great. Personally, I felt this is Stevie's best concert performance and the best song selection. The songs she sings on this tour is a fan's dream.

I saw Stevie at the Nissan Pavilion and at the VA Beach Ampitheatre June 23 and 24. All I can say is that she was AMAZING. They were definetly two Enchanted nights. I have been to a few big name concerts. But I have to say by far those two Stevie concerts were the best I have ever seen or probably ever will see. This was the first time I've seen Stevie live. I was too young to go to her other concerts. She was beautiful in her long black dress dancing across the stage in her 5 inch boots. Though I've been a fan for a long time and grew up listening to Fleetwood Mac. Stevie's voice has always been magnificent. But it just gets better and better through time. She was perfect at those shows. Her voice was perfect, the music was perfect. She was full of energy, she's in great shape. She's very inspiring. If you haven't got tickets yet. Don't waste any time. This is the show to see. Believe me you won't be disappointed.

I attended the 6/24 show in Manassas, Virginia. There is only one word to describe this woman and her performance............SPECTACULAR!

Finally! The concert I'd always hope to see from Stevie. I've seen Stevie for over 14 years now and this one is the icing on the cake. She looked and sounded fabulous! The older she gets the better she sounds. I had 14th row tickets on the end of the aisle. The closest I've ever been to Stevie. I was going to bring something to give to Stevie but after reading the reviews I thought I'd never get past the security guards so I didn't bring anything. Well, let me tell you, I wished I'd had. When Stevie came out, I got so pumped-up that I was determined to get to the stage. After having a couple of Jimmy Buffet Margaritas (which by the way are THE best) and a couple of beers, I decided that I'm just going to do what I have to do to get to the stage to at least shake Stevie's hand. So, I knew that after Twisted I needed to hit it. I did until I was stopped by the security guard. He told me that only the first 5 rows could go up. I stood there arguing with him for about 2 minutes. So I just stood next to him in the aisle as Stevie finished Edge of Seventeen. As soon as Stevie headed for the left side of the stage I just took off right past him and made it to the stage!! She started shaking hands and collecting gifts and I was about 4 people deep into the crowd. I thought to myself how will I ever get to her, I'm about 5' 4" and pretty far back. I don't know how I did it, but I managed to jump high enough to touch Stevie's hand. I was blown away to think that I actually touched Stevie after so many years of being so far away from her at all the other concerts. I also want to say that Stevie has the nicest fans! It seems like we are all connected by the peace that she sends out to us. Well, Stevie, thank you for the best show ever!! Have you touched the soul of someone . . . YES, you have! And, In all your darkest hours have you ever heard me sing . . . YES, I have!
